Lucas Johnson for Litchfield HANDS DOWN! He's gotten NO publicity because of the team he plays for. HE led Litch to state. All conference last 2 years. One talented goalie if you ask me.pipes3030 wrote:Who has the top goalie in class A?

I think that it's hard to say that Lee isn't best at this point because:
1) He's undefeated as a starter. No matter how weak of a schedule the Rams play, no matter what kind of talent he has in front of him, and no matter the system they play, you can't say that of those games that he's won that he's never been the deciding factor. (Roseau beat Moorhead last year 1 out of 3 games. Lee started the 1 victory and played exceptionally well in a very intense and close game)
2) He's got a state title under his belt. He knows what it takes to get it done this weekend.
3) He can play on the big stage in big games. He out performed the goalies that he's being compared to, minus Yumusaklar primarily, at state. We've seen Phillipi play shaky games the past 2 tournaments and Cashetta struggle in last years tournament.
4) He's consistent, obviously
5) He keeps his emotions in check. He's confident, not cocky and doesn't get rattled.
Not this makes him any better than anyone else but he's committed to St. Cloud and no other goalie in this tournament is so there's got to be some separation between Lee and the rest up to this point. Just my opinion...

Sorry Basil Chaps but most likely Meyers will start all of the games for Benilde in the State Tourney if not him Shibrowski the other top goalie for Benilde will start not Ankeny not saying that Ankes is not a good but Shibrowski has been starting for the past two years and has more experience than Ankeny
