This doesn't make sense to me. Woodbury destroyed Stillwater and CDH, both of which were away, and had to score with 18 seconds to play to beat WBL. I don't see Woodbury losing a conference game this year to be honest with you.

Woodbury won but I wouldn't say they destroyed Stillwater. It was a pretty good game.
It was 4-0 and stillwater got every call imaginbable in that game. I didn't think it was even remotely close.

Looks like you are showing you don't have a clue what you are talking about. I would say just the opposite, Woodbury was on the PP 4x's in the first 2 periods vs Stillwater 1x. If I remember it right Woodbury scored 1 just after a Stillwater penalty was over as the player came back on the ice. The game ended Stillwater 7x's vs Woodbury 6x's seen as the one was with 40 second left in the game it looks as though the only advantage was to Woodbury for getting 4 PP in the first 2 periods werer the thrird was on and off for both teams. For the most part it was a pretty clean game all but 1 of these were ticky tacky calls at most.

The shots were 29-28 Woodbury. The timing of the penalties did somewhat dictate the flow of the game. Woodbury was short handed about 5 straight minutes with 2 being 5 on 3. Woodbury did score shortly after one of Stillwater penalties. Stillwater did not score on theirs. One of Woodbury's goal was on a slap shot from just inside the blue line that should have been stopped. That's why I think Stillwater is on the rise. If their goalie had been playing like he has been lately, and Stillwater had scored on one of their extended power plays then it would have been much closer. I do think some of the penalties in the third period against Woodbury were bad calls. Woodbury controlled the game, period 1 and 2 and did have a 10 shot advantage. Period 3 with Stillwater on the power play, they caught up.

You must not remember the third period when Hyland got cross checked from behind with a no-call, then got up and got cross-checked from behind again and got called for elbowing somebody as he fell to the ice. I believe this was discussed in the Woodbury-Stillwater topic just after the game and i was not the only person who noticed the poor officiating.

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda......The point here is that Woodbury stood up to some of the worst "homer" officiating recently seen. While the calls may have been seemingly even, it was the lack of calls against Stillwater that was more evident. If the S'water goalie was playing better, if the S'water skaters had scored on their power plays....it's all speculation. The FACT is that they didn't and were held scoreless during their numerous opportunites. Perhaps, S'water is on the rise but I believe Woodbury has totally hit their stride and continues to play well.

I was at the woodbury stillwater game and from what I saw woodbury controlled most of the game and were definatley the better team. The shots were close cuz stillwater got a lot of shots when they were on the powerplay for 5 staight minnuets at the start of the 3rd. after that woodbury pulled away and just sat on the lead for the rest of the game. Regardless both teams have a very good chance at making it to state out of their sections.
