alright wild..lets say that goal hit in with hutch's glove doesnt count , hutch gets no momentum.. and the game is 3-2 or closer at one point....thats why--its hard to keep intensitity when the refs blow a call..

I agree with ducks that really gave them intesity and broke marshall down....i bet if that goal didnt count the end of the first would of have been 0-0

well than that shows that marshall is a bad team, cause if they break down because of a bad call, your screwed.

They have struggled with having breakdowns all year....they need to work on improving that before sections.

Ya I agree, if they can find a way to elimate all breakdowns, I could see them going far... oh yeah and vs. hutch their best player was sick and not at the game (#15)

Yeah and their senior goaltender and one of their coaches were gone too. and happen to have 2 varsity defenseman out for the season. and their second top forward hansen was extremely sick for that game too. All things considering not a bad game. They were really short on the bench against hutch.

hey sregit 34, get off the high horse with Marshall, everyone here knows they are crap, blown out by New Ulm, Willmar, Hutch, lost a couple to Redwood Falls , come on get a clue and a life, its the same as saying MBA has a chance against Little Falls in 4a, It aint ever going to happen, so enough is enough

forgot about litchfield first of all. Do you know who is in this section? Marshall wasted windom twice. Windom is not that good. Willmar is a far better team than 6th should be in third. Have you seen any teams outside of the southwest conference play?

this is how i see the section.

1. New Ulm-Beat Sartell, hutch. very good as of late.
2. Hutch-close to new ulm, definetely have better goaltending
3. Willmar
4.Redwood-might not get this high because of their strength of schedule (lack there of) and loss to windom and tie with worthington. did beat marshall twice though.
5. marshall-
6. Litchfield- loss to marshall really hurts them here.
7.Windom
8.Luverne
9.Worthington
10.Fairmont
11. Sleepy Eye

1. New Ulm
Hutch
3. Willmar
4. Redwood
5. Litch
6. Marshall
7. Windom
8. Luverne
9. Worthington
10. Fairmont
11. Sleepy Eye

I list NU first just because they beat Sartell but I'm not counting Hutch out yet. Things could still change but thats the way I see it as of now.

1. New Ulm-beat sartell, now ranked 19 in state. www.followthepuck.com
2. Hutch- have a great record of 14-4-1, have some great seniors
3.Willmar- beat hutch, only lost to alexandria by 2
4.Redwood- Gustuvus will be a test for them to see if they are as good as people say they are.
I think it will come down to new ulm and willmar in the section championship game.

I believe it...they are solid they move nice pass nice and know how to score......

1.New Ulm
2.Willmar
3.Hutch
Redwood and Marshall are tied for now...I know redwood beat them twice but not playing anybody tough will come back to hurt them in sections....right now New Ulm's winning the section 5-2 over Willmar...

This section is a joke. None of these teams deserve to go to state...the team that will probably get the first seed lost to minnehaha academy. thats terrible

First of all, New Ulm was a totally different team then. They would kill Minehaha now. Second, you are just some kid on a team in another section that has realized he's not good enough to take his team to state, so you go blame your bad play on other teams that have a shot. Get over it. PLus New Ulm just beat #16 Sartell 3-1. This section is stronger than you think (definitely not very deep in talent). But the top couple teams in this sec can flat out play. NU just proved that.

What does beating Sartell prove? Sartell lost 9-0 to Alexandria and by five goals to Little Falls.

The second or third seed in this section will be Willmar who is the LAST place team in the CLC with a record of 6-12...and you say the top couple teams in this section can play...

New Ulm has not beat anyone in the top 15 teams of Class A...they barely beat Simley (6-5) -a team who gets slaughtered in the Classic Suburban by Top Class A teams like STA, SSP. They also play in a very weak conference and do not have a difficult schedule.

And Hutch has lost to AHA 8-1 and to Red Wing 6-1...RW has lost to some top Class A teams like Breck, Lourdes, Mahtomedi, and Totino-Grace (TG who lost 10-0 to Class A powerhouse STA)

They can play huh? Maybe with Sleep Eye and Northfield...

Little Falls number one team in the state beat sartell 4-3, new ulm beat them 3-1, damn straight they can play.

Thats why

Post by golfer5 »

I think that is why we play the game,
Any team can have a good night, and others make mistakes
Going back and evaluating a 25 game schedule is exhasting.

I think Hutch gets the one seed due to head-to-head competition, which is/should be the first criteria when seeding any section.

well new ulm must have been catching some teams on mistake nights then, or maybe u can accept that they have skill, and obviously can play. The only reason one would think to look over a game schedule is to find concrete evidence that supports my point. Which is.. New Ulm #1 seed.
and also a respectable 19th in state.
