Just as an example, in 8AA girls this year, Elk River got the #1 seed based on a 3-0 section record, even though they were just a .500 team. They did, however, beat the #2 seed head-to-head (Bemidji, who was 10 games over .500 and 6-1-1 in section). Another school (North Wright Cty.) only lost 3 games all year, but lost two section games (two of them to #2 Bji and #3 seed Moorhead), and got the 4 seed...

Honestly no they are not. Former section 4a wich is now 6a coaches get together at a meeting. At this meeting they all get a chance to tell about their season and pretty much sell their team. After this they vote. In amongst themselves they probably talk individual games etc. and in this disscussion I'm sure they use how they performed against section teams but in the end, they vote. Really how else do you do it????HShockeywatcher wrote:Well right. In 7AA, Rapids got the #1 seed because of an early season win over Duluth who was ranked better at the time. If that's how it is, that's great. I just hope all sections are ranked consistently.
