wow.. shots 39-15.. another classic .. congrats to cdh tho, they played a good game .. Did i say cdh?? i meant ben walsh :) the cut feels less deep knowing edina wont be in the semis tho :) is there anyway to get the consolation televised instead :)

Im not to sure who to cheer for this second semi game.. i would like to see moorhead run for it, but I always have a tendency to cheer for the team that beat the one i wanted , but good luck to all cant wait for semis!!

walsh stood on his head during the game. he made some very nice saves that should have gone in. yet, the two he let in were rather weak. i think thats kinda funny, but i guess thats hockey.

i would not say walsh 5 east 2 though. cretin took advantage of the opportunities they had and put 4 (5 with the empy netter) pucks in the net. If they only get 1, walsh's performance is all but forgotten.

As I watched this game last night, I kept thinking I was watching a replay of the WBL vs HM section game. One team dominates, the other team scores.

Hounds give up 5 goals on 15 shots
Bears give up 5 goals on 19 shots

Its hard to swallow, but at least you guys made it to the dance!

I watched the game on TV. The goal was waved off because the ref DID blow the whistle before the puck crossed the line. After watching the replay a few times it was clear that the goalie never had posession of the puck and it was moving the whole time, the ref jumped the gun and blew a quick whistle which ended up favoring Cretin. Although the whistle should have never been blown, they made the right call on keeping it a no goal.

Besides that I really wish East would have won, they clearly dominated the game (offensively and defensively) and are just a blast to watch. There puck movement and physical play was awesome. I hate to point fingers and I really don't know if you can blame their goalie or not, it looked like he was screened on most of those goals, but when you give up 4 goals on 10 shots (or however many there were at that point) that doesn't help your team out at all.

Oh well, congrats CDH and best of luck against Moorehead. Also the East VS Edina game should be a blast at the U

Cretin played out of their minds last night. Having watched them this season, I didn't think they stood a chance. My view is that they really didn't "win" the game as much as East "lost" it. East was tentative and just couldn't capitalize when necessary. Cretin didn't play that well but did enough to get the win...IMO. That's what makes it March Madness.....

After being outshot in the first period 15-4, they did a better job of reducing the onslaught from East. I sure thought they'd give up 50 shots, but they countered better as the game went on.
