As for players to look for, I think another one that plays in SSP with LaShomb is Emily Reibert. Her points are high with twice as many assists as goals. She is a play maker.

Good Freshmen

Post by northfan49 »

Have seen Roseau a couple times -- a couple of good freshmen off their last years great 14U team--a Nelson girl that is a forward and a Byfuglien girl a defenseman that can really rifle the puck.

Hill Murray has a group of Freshman and Sophmore's that could make HM a very strong team into the future:

Defense - 3 Sophs
Mikayla Curtis - Stillwater Assoc second year on varsity 5'10" with a great reach
Jenny Magill - Stillwater Assoc very strong RD 5'9" who makes good reads and quick breakout passes
Bailey Link - converted forward from Hudson who has impact in all 3 zones

Forwards

Sophs
Hannah Brandt - White Bear Assoc only a sophmore this is one of the best forwards in the State
Sydney Fabian - on HM second line expect a big year from this fast power forward with great hockey genes she generated 4 scoring chances in the Stillwater game
Tory Heller - great speed
Natalie Hager - power forward

Freshman
Hanna Gavic - from Hudson a fast attacking forward with great hands

Two other young players to watch at Hill Murray who have really emerged over the season - both are small but have big time motors and can fly - if you know Melissa Doyle's style or play at HM or Hayley Hill at White Bear - these two could be clones with their all out hustle and smart reads - they will both grow into goal scorers.

Freshman - Brittany Cusick - grew up playing boys hockey in Mahtomedi
8th Grader - Sarah Bobrowski - grew up playing New Richmond
