i hate virginia, but i hope they go further than you guys. cant wait to watch this game tomorrow
First off don't include me in the "you guys" thing ok. I do not live in Hermantown nor do my sons play hockey there. They are all past HS. I have been a fan since youth level watching this program grow and accell. Love HS hockey and of all the teams i have watched in the area i'd rather go watch the Hawks than anyone. Allways a class act and for sure it's the best entertainment you can get one or two nights a week for $5

Prediction-Hawks by a few. Mahtomedi beats Alex. Alex beats Virginia because Alex beat Sartell by 2 who beat Virginia by 2. So i'm afraid it's 2 and out for Virginia again. Wish i could get my hopes up for the north more but i think 7A is down with Hermantown getting switched to 5A and having Marshall way down this year.
As far as the Hawks...well i'm hoping they can win it all but not sure they have the tools like they had in 07. IMHO they have the forwards, not so keen on the defense, they let a lot of odd man rushes and sometimes the goaltending can be shaky. But you never know thats why they have to play the game.
I would not say Marshall is way down, they almost made it to the finals. They had a decent season. I would like to see Marshall play Falls next year.

Was Hendrickson even out there today? Did he even make the trip? I didn't hear his name called once. Isn't he going to SCSU or something? Man for some big "superstar" he was no where to be seen. I don't even no if he was there. Honestly! Is there anyway you can retract scholarships because I'm sure the Huskies are going to do that being this "big time" player can't even show up for a big game.

Well thats probably because they weren't playing Greenway or Silver Bay!

Another thing, I've heard Keith Hendrickson talk about how the dump and chase game is something high school coaches shouldn't promote, but it sure looked like his team should have known how to get the puck in deep in the last 2 minutes of the game. They must have turned the puck over at Hermantowns blueline 10 times once they pulled the goalie.

Nonetheless, congrats to the Blue Devils on a great year and Good Luck to Hermantown on Friday afternoon!

He's only a junior. He'll have a minumum of one year (most likely two years) before he's a Husky. It wasn't a great game for him, but he still has the tools and potential to be a top D1 prospect.

He has good hands. You need more skills than that to be successfull at the D1 level. Coasting, weak on his legs, no physicality the list goes on and on. He's highly overrated and I've said that from last year.

Virginia played a great came, but had no legs left in the final minutes of the third. Great game to watch.

I only got to see part of the game, but from what I saw, Virginia really likes to turn over the puck. I was really hoping to see an upset here, but whats done is done. Nice game Hermantown, and good luck.

Did Garrett change his name to Chesser? That was the one name I heard on the whole Virginia team.

Krouse showed everyone what a D1 player plays like not a D1 bench warmer.

Chesser had a great game, probably one of the best games he has played. '

I can't believe Adam Krouse is 199 and Hendrickson is 165 in central scouting reports.

Eddy was the best player on the ice for Virginia. Hendrickson was a no show. I have seen many kids with more " tools" than what I saw today.
