Where is Noelle Sutton going? What happened there?

Does anyone know why it took 3 to 4 weeks for maple grove and Champlin Park to go from interviewing to naming their coach? Cloquet and Moorhead have been open since early March. Is it just not priority for them to get a new coach in?

Depends on the district. I know in one case a coach asked for some time to make a decision after being offered the job. Sometimes the people interview, are offered the job and decline, so it takes time to see if person two is the right fit or if more interviews are needed. Sometimes a coach is offered a job and it's not officially announced until it is approved by the school board. There are many reasons why in some districts it takes longer to announce. I do know there are a few jobs that not many people applied for, and I'm sure you can figure out why some positions just aren't that appealing.

Where is Noelle Sutton going? What happened there?

Saw on a local cable interview, it sounds like an opportunity with her full time job will not allow the time/flexibility.

Also, having a daughter who has played with many girls from Maple Grove over the years... they have some pretty off the wall parents over there. I'm guessing the tough season they had partnered with some wacko parents probably made the decision easier (IMO).

Good luck to Rob Potter with the Crimson. Northwest Suburban should be interesting this year with all the coaching changes.

Wacko Parents? Wow! - wouldn't have anything to do with several Minnesota High School League rules being violated and coach being allowed "opportunity" to resign, would it?

Thank you for "sincere" well wishes regarding Rob Potter. M.G. parents & players extremely happy to finally have experienced, mature coach who actually knows how to develop talent and likes kids - will be a very refreshing change! Although he does have a huge challenge rebuilding a program that has been run into the ground the past 2 years. (IMO)

I find more often then not, it is not worth arguing with someone who has an axe to grind.

Apple Valley named Lakeville North JV coach Don Erdall as their new head girl's hockey coach.

MNPinerider8- she actually doesn't work for her dad. She is an independent consultant who works in the Medical Device industry and had a big opportunity with one of her big clients (not her dad's company) and she took it. Same industry as her dad, not the same company. Hope you can understand that.

As for the "several Minnesota High School Leauge rules being violated" that was simply unsubstantiated claims/lies by some of the "wacko parents" as mhhock10 put it.

Obviously mnhock10 touched a nerve with his "wacko parents" line and I think we can all read between the lines on this one. No need to argue back and forth and such. I just wanted to bring some facts to the table.

Woodbury has filled their position with former UND women's coach Shantel Rivard. She did a good job as head coach of Woodbury's U12A's last year. It will be interesting to see how she balances her new job with the deisres of the club for U12 & 14.

That would be interesting to see. I would have to guess Dave Palmquist and Vin Paolucci would have to be at the top of the list.

I heard 4-5 interviewed for for Holy Angels but they did not like any. Strange...you think that anyone who wanted it applied. There is slim pickings out there.
