That's too bad, he was one of my favorite players to go through the U. Although it does seem like it was a good decision for his family.

He's not even a licensed educator.

It's good to know that being a stud hockey player can get you a teaching position at CDH and have fat stacks of booster provided cash pay for your masters education.

I was thinking the same thing when I first heard about the teaching job Pohl took.

I don't claim to know the rules for this but given it is a private school, is it possible that they can hire whoever they wish to fill an educating role? Pohl is a Carlson School grad, etc. so I am sure he'd be able to do a good job teaching business courses, etc.

You do not need to be a licensed educator to teach at a private school !

It is definitely not uncommon for uncertified teachers (usually, though obviously not always, alumni) to come into private schools and teach.

As for the relative merits of teachers who follow that path, well, that's an entirely different can of worms...

It's a very good business school. Not sure why you are trying to slag on it. I can't speak for the undergrad aspect but the MBA program is definitely not a walk in the park.
