Congratulations to sinbin who wins our final weekly contest! And in doing so sinbin wins two out of the last three contests, having also won Week 10. For the week sinbin predicted the winners in 11 of 13 games plus got the score right in two of them, for a total of 13 points. Great job to put a cap on a fun season!

Silent But Deadly finished a very respectable 2nd Place this week with 11 points - 10 of 13 winners with a correct score. hckynut12 and woogieboogiewoogie tied for 3rd with 10 points each, followed by a three-way tie for 5th who scored 9 points each.

Saturday’s final scores were:
Blake 2, Minnetonka 5
Irondale 1, BSM 5
Centennial 3, Coon Rapids 4
Eastview 0, Rosemount 1
White Bear Lake 1, Roseville 4

:: drum roll please ::

For the entire 12 weekly contests we finish in a three-way tie for the super-prestigious Minnesota Girls Hockey Forum “Prognosticator of the Year” award. The three (mythical) “Gold” winners are:

OntheEdge, TeamFirst and hockeyheaven! Each of these three "Girls Hockey Gurus” finished in 1st Place - either outright or tied - in three of the twelve weeks.

Congratulations also go to four others: Antagonist, FlyingWarrior, sinbin and MNHockeyFan. These four managed to finish first in two of the twelve weeks. Four others were able to crack the weekly leaderboard once.

We now eagerly await the “real” hockey season which is about to begin: SECTIONS and the chance to get to the STATE TOURNAMENT!

Best of luck everyone – MNHockeyFan.

Thanks for running this; it was fun. Although I hate to mention this, I only participated in the final 4 weeks of the season and won 2 of them, so a respectable 50% winning percentage. I'll chalk this up to beginner's luck and look forward to a full season's worth of prognostications next year, hoping to avoid a sophomore slump. Are you doing something similar for the playoff season ahead? Thanks again.
