If the hometowner suck, what do ya do??!! We want to win, just like everyone else, whether they want to admit it or not!! If ya don't want to win, you shouldn't be playing!!! :D

How many new recruits this year?
Hanowski from Brainerd/Little Falls
Hilgert from Sartel/Sauk Rapids
Is Salo from Grand Rapids heading north? or back to NAHA?

Coaches and the athletic department don't play the games. The girls who sit the bench or don't make the team definitely want to win. Your mentality only makes sense if the team or school somehow profits from winning, like the private schools do. If Warroad regularly overlooks home grown talent they are doing the association, the town and the HS a disservice. Eventually there won't be enough incentives to pull anyone in, the association will be a hollow shell, and nobody will be talking about how Warroad should be playing up anymore.

Well, most teams would start with trying to improve their youth programs.

Maybe, but a certain coaches kids will be in the local record books. It's not all about the winning. Thanks for the pass, Gardner.

Couldn't agree more. Warroad has "all the ice time you could ask for, and MORE". There is NO excuse for any kid to not be out there skating and trying to improve themselves. Honestly, you don't know the whole story~~several of the hometowners that complain about not playing DO NOT make the effort to get out there!! But of course it is "someone else's" fault for them not being all they can be. True STORY!
