What? No love for AL?
It's about time the girls in AL get a coach who know a little something about hockey and is actually qualified to be a coach - the previous 3 years were a complete disaster! Such an incredible a DISSERVICE to those athletes.
Congrats girls and coach Willette - keep up the great work.

so any new predictions for this year? it looks like rw has no competition. i mean they didn't have many seniors and so many young girls. the northfield was held together cause of their goalie and she is now gone. fairbo is completely done for with begland and salmonson gone. the only competition i see is AL with their young kinda good goalie. hopefully rw doesn't lose focus though like a couple years ago... but i do see a section repeat there and them getting seeded this year which they should

Better look out because the Albert Lea " LADY " Tigers are going to be hungry for some wins.

re: AL goalie
Last year's young AL goalie must've moved north -- now listed with South St. Paul on the Dave Peterson Goalie Camp web page.skate4state2 wrote: the only competition i see is AL with their young kinda good goalie.

Red wings Paige Haley verbally committed to the u of m which I see as the first of 3 to come in the next couple years. Wouldn't surprise me if schammel and the younger Haley followed her there.
Will red wing have ANY competition this year?? I mean I thought albert Lea could atleast put up a fight but with their goalie gone no way.
The thing that red wing does smart that no other team in this section does is play all hard teams throughout the year. That way when it comes to sections they can walk right through. Their scheule this year is packed with hard teams. Not only are they in the missota conference but they have games against south saint Paul, Hastings, moundwestonka, simily, and breck which are just a few to name off the top of my head. Why doesn't faribo or northfield play some hard teams like these???

Red Wing is a solid small town team with good top end players which they rely on heavily. One of my observations regarding Red Wing is their fitness seems good. I'll guess they work hard off ice in addition to on ice. In Minnesota women's high school hockey the team with the best fitness is often the winner.

As hearing from girls on the team, this is very true. good thing they have multiple top end players. most if not all of these girls play year round at either OS or CADP and also in the fall with the team in the southern minnesota 4 on 4 league. and have won it the past few years. no wonder they have good team chemistryobserver wrote:Red Wing is a solid small town team with good top end players which they rely on heavily.
