Knight7, curious to know why the Red team is having such good success. Is it mostly a matter of higher-end talent, better teamwork, (less individual play), tougher defense and/or goaltending or maybe mostly a matter of most of its players consistently showing up for the games? Probably a combination of several of these things but what do you think has been the main secret to this team's success?

Is there a web site that has the stats and standings along with the rosters? The others that had some info have since removed the link.

Knights7 -

Put together the top 3 F, top 2 D, and top goalie you have seen so far there. Not who is supposed to be the best, but the players that you are noticing to be the best right now.

Week 4

White 4-2 over Red en.
Shattuck 19's 3-2 over Black OT

Black 3-2 over Red
White 5-1 over Shattuck 19's

Black 3-2 over White
Shattuck 19's 4-2 over Red

White goes 2-1 overall 6-4-2
Black goes 2-1 overall 7-5-0
Red goes 0-3 overall 7-3-2
Shattuck 19's goes 2-1 overall 6-3-0

Very tight with next weekend the last. Games next weekend at Fogerty Arena in Blaine (Friday- Sunday). Bauer-NIT with teams from other states playing.

PS. I won't rate players or teams. I have put up the scores and standings as there is no other site that lists these games this year (that I've seen anyways and some people asked on this board). They all work hard and many of these games are won or lost on a bounce of a puck. After 4 weekends (3 for SSM 19's) of games, a game separates them all. These are the excellent players playing against each other. Highly recommended hockey to take young girls to see.

I was wondering where I can find a schedule other than at the start of this thread. Friday night is open and it would be fun to watch Mak (Makenzie Johnson) in goal.

Mac plays on Friday at 8:15pm then Sat. at 8:15am then 3pm Sat. She plays on the Red team and they usually have schedules and rosters at the site. Glad to hear that more fans of the girls are showing up. Mac has been playing lights out.

Shattuck is obviously down a little compared to the past few years.

And congrats to all three Minnesota Elite teams for their wins over club teams from Canada, Wisconsin and Michigan.

To my understanding the roster is still being tweaked as a couple of seniors will not participate. They will split the seniors onto two teams and sprinkle in a couple of juniors.

The league cost was $460 (I believe) and the tourney in Detriot is another $150+ hotel+ bus+ food for 4days and 3 nights.

It was attended by Minn, UMD, WIS, Bemidji, SCSU, Mankato State, OSU, Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, UNH, Renesiliar to name the Div. 1 schools I recall, I know there were more. This last weekend there were several DIII schools in attendance also.

I know of at least 3 Elite 1 players that committed over the process. Many more are well on there way to commit.

Actually, $395. 5 practices and 16 games.

Night train,

I stand corrected. You are right. Paying to many bills lately, I guess they are overlapping.

semi-related question:

I read an article the other day online regarding women's hockey and how the big 10 programs are expanding.

The numbers of minnesota boys in programs are well published and found easily enough by rubes like myself. But what about the gals? Are there numbers comparable to the boys side? Speaking of the ratio of minnesota girls in D1 programs nation wide. I'd expect it to weight even more heavily in their favor.
Sorry, fresh out, Don't Really Give Any.
