Geez, STA and Breck must be literally embarrassed to be out here against these small-town teams.
I'm embarrassed for them.
Very glad STA grew a conscience and will move up next year.

Do STA fans think this is exciting? Seriously? No one else does, so props to you if you do.

I may need something stronger than this free Coke to get through this one.

Ugh. This is hard to watch. I know Apollo has no chance, but all these goals have been garbage. Hopefully Apollo's goalie can get a save percentage above .500 before games end.

I'm not hating either, just making a point that the ignorant STA haters will go back to trash talking STA for the same old things they have been for the last 100 years before they were dominating Class 1A hockey.

Haters gon' hate.
And trophy chasers gotta chase

There we go. :D

If anyone is curious, some opponent of Eveleth's in 1945 only had one shot on goal. They may have competition tonight.

Okay, so not to beat a dead horse here but one thing I don't understand about St. Thomas being a single A school is that they are an all boys school. This is something that I never hear of being brought up. Sure they have an enrollment of 1,066 and the cutoff is what around 1250 for a team that needs to be AA? However, if girls were enrolled in equal numbers they would be one of the biggest schools in the state of Minnesota. They have more guys to pull from for their hockey team than another public school with enrollment of 1300 considering aprox. half are girls... How has this never been brought up to the mshsl?

Meanwhile, the Woodbury Super Mite Little Chippers are providing us with perhaps the most even game of the day here at the X.

That 1066 figure already is double their actual enrollment. The MSHSL does this.

STA's enrollment is technically 533, but they double it to account for girls. It's actually brought up quite frequently here.

I am watching Sen. Rand Paul's filibuster instead of this game...

And I bet Sen. Paul lasts longer than this game.

Sounds like a safe bet, since we're headed straight for running time.

STA had more goals than Apollo had attempted shots that period. (They had 3, all of which missed the net, and came from outside the far right circle.
