The oddest part of this story is the the fact that these are intradistrict open enrollments, you'd think the South AD might want to figure out why so many of their kids are leaving.
I think a key component in the players' decision to open enroll at LN has to do with South's current coach.
That was kinda my point, I figured the reader could make the inference.

You are correct - It wasn't "just" a hockey camp - the Goalie was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks and that's why he was out there. And I don't really think it's the North parents who a whining...don't put all the Lakeville parents inthe same boat please.

Apologies for my whimsical comment...and you are right, not all Lakeville North parents should be called whiners--doing this would fail to recognize the arrogant and condecending.

Good luck to your sons.

Dont mistake sensative for sarcasm...and it wasnt a blanket statement-- it was directed, quite clearly, at two people.

Have a nice day. :)

i think this thread was started by someone that thought LN was going to be good and surprise some teams..

the cinderella dress is off and LN can't hide. it is one of the best teams in the state.

the time for other teams to take them lightly should be in the past…. now, when it plays top teams they probably will not be taken lightly.

on its schedule the only good team remaining is DE…. this will be a good test for them…

i think it will also be a good test when it plays against the remaining weak teams on its schedule to see how it can handle being the favorite and not having a let down..

it should also be interesting when section play begins and all of its opponents have game plans against them and how it reacts to them…

at this point i think this team is very disciplined, smart and moves the puck better than any other team.. i think the coaching staff is excellent… very poised for such a young team…

i think this is the best team in state. but, the youth of it and the unfamiliar territory of being the favorite is its biggest danger…

If you had told me in November how greatly anticipated the LN - DE match-up would be in January, I would have put A LOT of $ against it. Awesome.

Earlier in this thread people mentioned that several players on Lakeville North played their bantam hockey in the Lakeville South program. Which players are those?
