What’s the word on Connor Mahony? Is he at BSM?

While I don’t disagree with the church aspect being a joke with this institution, I think you overestimate the cooperation of Velocity and Breakaway here. They’re more like rivals than HF partners.
As for people finding other ways around transferring, you need look no further than the Fire themselves. After all, it was only a few years ago they had a player from out of town living in the locker room until he was caught by arena staff.

Exactly. And Breakaway is Velocity’s competition. I don’t think Breakaway is exactly a HF recruiting ground, though I’m sure due to simple geography a few kids have passed through both.612hockeytown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:06 pmNoel Rahn owns Velocity ...ThatMNHockeyGuy62 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:01 pmWhile I don’t disagree with the church aspect being a joke with this institution, I think you overestimate the cooperation of Velocity and Breakaway here. I’m sorry 62 - I thought you meant velocity and breakaway were competitors to HF. My badThatMNHockeyGuy62 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:16 pmExactly. And Breakaway is Velocity’s competition. I agree with the proximity of Chaska and Victoria - maybe some have passed through no doubt. Plus usually “promises” are made when kids attend HF.
Whatever happened to bantam goalie Eli Andrews? He was solid at Edina. Ends up at EP. Then HF tweets welcome to the H Family Eli along with Pinoniemi. Then those tweets get deleted. He disappears. Conan Hayton and Bailey Huber shows up. So weird.

612, looked back at my post and your confusion is warranted. As for Andrews, I don’t know why he never went to HF (not sure on the timeline here but maybe caught wind of Huber?), but I believe he has quit hockey all together.

They aren't young anymore and also adding MahonyO-townClown wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 9:11 pmI'll eat my hat if the Raiders have a better season than Blake. Obviously Gleason is an incredible HS player, but last season he looked mainly frustrated against good teams because they couldn't muster much of an attack.
Blake should be awfully good. They aren't so young anymore.

Is the Motzko move to SCC 100% and the announcement (unless I missed it) just a formality?
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Oh for crying out loud, talk about the rich getting richer. I’d set the line for the Breck/Blake games this season at about Blake -4.5 goals. Blake’s IMAC games will be ugly.
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
MinnScout - now that Mahony name is out , would you care to be the first to announce any newly arrived BSM high scorers that we will see in Knight uniform at the Braemar festival?

With Elite League tryouts same weekend as Edina tournament not sure if you will see GE or a number of other BSM returners.

CEC traditionally has 0-1 skaters on the elite league north team so our entire roster should be skating in Edina.

This is an interesting one. I figured it would be hard to stay where he was and still pursue hockey. A nice player I saw with both Blizzard 18U and Fall Tier I 16U. He'll do well wherever he plays.
Be kind. Rewind.
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Soooo....his parents must have moved out of Bloomington in order for him to be eligible to transfer from Providence to BSM after 9th grade?O-townClown wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 12:18 pmThis is an interesting one. Selects 15 National Camp is 15-20th so there will be BSM kids missing for that as well. Seems like they should be able to find better weekend.InThePipes wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 5:00 pmI've always wondered why they can't figure out how to avoid that?

Well said MinnScout
I’m particularly puzzled how Stramel can be at NatCamp and trying out for HS Elite League at the same time , Im assuming he didn’t get auto acceptance as a freshman (although maybe deserving )
Not to mention being listed on main BEL roster
pending further developments

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
, Will we see Bennett Schimek in a certain private school uniform at the Braemar festival next weekend?
Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season
Someone with a kid at GA told me that there's a possibility he goes to the GA high school team...which seems crazy to me. You'd be paying the same $ to go to either GA or STA, as far as education goes I'd have to believe STA is much better.
With the GA owner's kids heading to Michigan for NTDP and Little Caesars I can't see them holding on to that place...they basically started it for their kids because most associations weren't fans of them...just jealous naturally

I can't imagine GA is really a serious consideration. I suppose there are a lot of "possibilities" at this point thoughthefatcat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 4:24 pmSomeone with a kid at GA told me that there's a possibility he goes to the GA high school team...which seems crazy to me.
