[quote="manchild"]Slappy, You know not what you are talking about. They just hired two more people in the last two weeks. The rink is doing well. I just got an e-mail that they have completely filled the Choice league. That's 23 Mite and squirt teams. It does not sould like they hurting an...

[quote="penman"]you took one too many shots to the head slapshot44.... the KI kid is good (and indeed better than several Machine players) but there are many other 96ers that come to mind before him. I saw plenty of triple A play last summer at the 96 level and your boastful best of claim ...

Iverson is by far the best 96, he played for a 93 aaa team, and did great. I would put him far ahead of anyone that is on the machine.

[quote="Bruins"]Outscored D6 teams 90-5 with 13 shutouts then have 9 goals scored on them by 97 Fire in two games. These boys were not challenged enough in D6. If the had the opportunity to play A level they probably would have been at minimum a mid level team. To many blowouts then lose t...

Peewee B1- Edina Green #1 all year

I noticed that Edina Green has been ranked number one at the peewee b1 level all year, are they that great or is this just a fluke? What are their chances of winning state this year?

i've been cut from the team that I really wanted to make 3 years in a row now. Each and every year I can pick out kids who made it over me that I am better than, they all have one thing in common. They all have parents that are really involved in the hockey association. my parents are not very invol...

If the other team was so much better they should have beat edina in regulation, it's that simple. dont act like this is an edina problem all associations do this and its not that big of a deal.

My personal opinion is that penalty's are punishment enough when you have to serve time in the penalty box. With the fairplay point it's like penalizing the team that got the penalty two times.

Fairplay point

I'm not quite sure what districts use it, but I know that district 6 uses it. Basically you get an extra point if you get under a certain amount of penalty minutes in a game. I'm not sure, but I think it's either 12 or 14 minutes. So, what do you think of the rule?

definitely

Not so much at the youth hockey level, but once you get to the bantams and high school players it can either help you or hurt you alot. I have seen many kids who were the speedy a player in squirts be passed up in high school and bantams because they cant check very well, and get hit alot.

I would think both edina teams would be top 5 this year... in peewees with this same group they shared the top 4 with both wayzata teams all year, the only reason they weren't in state was they were paired with both wayzata teams in regions, and didn't advance.

Not sure if this was a tryout situation for either team, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
