Jealosy breeds Ignorance and nobody likes a winner.. Plain and Simple! Most of the complaints on this board come from either 12-17 year olds who don't want an education or parents who can't afford to send their kids to STA and can't admit that it's the main reason for there animosity towards the sc...

We could see a final similar to this year's: -Hermantown is losing only 5 seniors, although one is their goalie, their #2 in scoring will be back. -St Thomas is only losing 9 seniors, top 4 leading scorers are seniors, but their goalies both have two more years. -Breck only has 5 seniors on their r...

One of the best matchups in a section final in a while.

At least we can all agree on one thing, it ought to be a close one.

I wouldn't be so quick to say the winner of this game will play Tonka, Benilde has a chance at beating them, they did manage to beat Wayzata earlier this year. I'm going to go with Eden Prairie pulling off the upset in this one by a score of 3-2. Should be a great game! I think it really exploits a...

I think Mtka needs to tighten up the ship, so to speak. The forwards need to help more in the D zone against the stiffer competition. The big d man need to play physical and beat the other team to loose pucks in the defensive zone and also the Neutral from what i have seen. Krueger has played well ...

Stupid topic. Just because you don't have state championship caliber teams, doesn't mean you're "jinxed". It means you need to hit the weight room a little harder in the off season and lay it all on the line during the games. It's sad to see the media consensus 1, 2 and 3 teams all in the ...

He is a very talented defenseman, but has not had a Mr Hockey caliber season.

[quote="The Exiled One"]Given the trends in recent Mr Hockey Award history, this is Bjugstad's award to lose... period.quote] I respectfully disagree. I think if you look at the most recent history of the award, WCHA commited DEFENSEMEN have the upper hand in winning the award. However, I'...

Additionally, I will directly quote you as saying, "I would also say, in my opinion, it is very difficult to hold ties against anyone. To me they are mute games showing just they can play with the team". So are you saying Hopkins and Edina are about in the same league then? And then you u...

Hill Murray - Karl, while I agree with where they are now, I have thought that's about where they should have been all along. The first game against the Cadets was an upset. It is tough to say where they should be as they have only lost to Blaine (#3) and St Thomas (would be top 5). Edina - Are you...

4-2 Edina, they are due to break out of this freefall, I think Edina just got a little (or a lot) overconfident. Both of these teams are overrated. Lubricated tip - 3 Cake - 1 Any justification behind this comment? You're right, outplaying and tying a previously 19-0 team and having their coach adm...

Re: it went in

it wasn't scored as a goal; so it don't count; so it's NO GOAL.... That's what I would say to if I was a Skipper fan... But being a Wayzata guy I'm not bitter, it was more than likely a goal but that's part of the game. No sending it to Toronto in this league. Maybe my opinion is biased but I think...

What do people think now that Wayzata has beat Edina again this week? Besides Tonka I think everyone was putting Edina as the hottest team in the state and the Trojans weren't getting the respect of everyone on this board. Not to put the kid down at all, I am sure he's a quality player, but who is he beating out for the points lead at SLP? Just saying that doesn't convince me he's a top sophomore in the state.

But last week a few crossed the line. Attack my rankings all you want; that’s fine. But from ...

Am I the only one who isn't sold in Eagan? They have one quality OT win versus an opponent who has shown the most inconsistency in HS hockey. (Beat Cent. 9-2, then tied Cent./ SO loss; Beat Wayzata 2-1, then tied Burnsville 2-2). I see other threads where people are putting Eagan in their top five. ...
