There's one really good way to make sure nobody throws a hat on the ice, don't let the other team put up 9 goals against you. Nice moniker, by the way.

It seems to me that there have been a lot of changes (rules) in a short amount of time. Who is responsible for the changes? I think it's time to take a look at the folks that are running Minnesota Hockey. I think the era of volunteers running something so large has come and gone. At the very least, ...

If the same kid gets the flu and is out for 4 days should he be eligible for the remainder of the season when he gets well? Wow.

What happened in LDC? I thought Brian Johnson coached that team; he is the coach-in-chief for D-5. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the 5-18 record they threw up last season and the prospect of that being the best record they would see with him as the coach. Coach-in-chief of D-5, isn'...

Hutch returns key players next year and hopefully will make a run. Had some great improvement and good coaching this year Who are the key returners? You keep talking about the great coaching and improvement. What team are you watching? Coaching is nonexistent at best and flat out horrible most days.

Is there anyone out there that thinks this is ever going to come to an end? Every one of these "improvements" to the game is rolled out under the guise of some kind of study. If the checking rule is changed to start at the bantam level, injuries at the bantam level are going to increase. A...

Proplem - Election of President and VPs is done by the current board members. It is difficult for someone to walk in off the street (so to speak).

Re: Brilliant

To short change kids to benefit a few is mind boggeling at best. Are you talking about Association or AAA hockey? Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of an association that is remotely functional. I don't necessarily think year-round AAA hockey is the answer, but sometimes it's good to rattl...

I guess we're still looking for that elusive example of the kid who recently achieved elite status in Minnesota Hockey by taking the summer off rather than working hard on his game during the off season.

Why is there an 8 year old that can't stop both ways or crossover backwards?
Those aren't skills that are needed if the kid is being told to camp in front of the crease and shoot for the entire 3 minutes of their shift.

Where people lose me is when they think practice is more important than games. The only thing...I repeat...the only thing practice is good for is to help you perform better in games. This cannot be disputed. Anyone who thinks skill development is the ultimate goal does not need to ever join a team.....

As I understood it, the supposed alliance is an attempt to improve the quality of AAA hockey in the state by pulling some of the top non-Minnesota talent to the metro tournaments. The goal was to get some of the top Canadian teams (Calgar...
