Although most people say that Owatonna should be 4th seed and Winona should be 5th seed, Winona did finish the season with 17 wins, which undoubtedly means that they showed up to play more often and in general played better hockey, and Owatonna can't deny that. Mayo also deserves the place they are ...

Thought I would revive this topic for the upcoming game in 2 days. Both teams have been doing pretty good since the rescheduling, but with b. kautz coming from a concussion and the posibility of florin missing what are your predictions?

2 of JM's 3 goals came off of breakaways, otherwise they didnt have too many opportunities. And for once in a very long time Winona could not put the puck away. There were many missed opportunities with a few missed open nets, literally. The play in the last 2 periods was very one - sided and its di...

I am not sure it matters too much if he got dinged up a bit, because I THINK he is going on vacation for a couple weeks starting today. Red Wing winning section 1A would mean them having to beat Faribault, sorry to say, but as for now I see this as being Faribault's year, but correct me if I'm wrong cause I only have seen about half of the Section 1A teams play.

Winona v. Rochester Century 1-7-10

This will be one of the biggest games so far this year for both teams considering they are both contending for the big nine conference and one of the top seeds in section 1AA. This will be a good game to watch and I am wondering what people's thoughts are on this game.

I will have to say Tonka unless Kruger has an off night like he was kinda having against Blaine, after Blaine's 3rd goal Kruger had only faced 13 shots ... Big Ouch for the starting goalie for the top team in the State. But if Kruger shows up with his A game I have a feeling that Tonka will be able ...

no they will not stay undefeated. Who have they played? nobody Rookie Winona hasn't exactly played all cakewalk teams here. They beat a good farmington 8-6, a team that barely lost to Faribault 6-5. and Last time i checked Faribault is ranked 10th in single A. They also beat a decent Albert Lea 5-2...

Winona is 7-0 going into the open bracket of the Schwans Cup so there is a possibility of them staying undefeated for a while longer

Not to nit pick in anyway at all but it was Winona 7 Holmen Aquinas 1

bad 2nd period by Winona ( up 3-0 after the first, 4-1 after the second) but they played a weak Wisconsin team and just took it to them overall.

Woah Sauce Daddy you are saying that Century will put 6 past Meyers? I mean Century has some good scorers, but seriously, 6 against Meyers and the BSM team as a whole? I think if they win it will be a low scoring game, more of a defensive battle

5 - 3 Blaine over Tonka with an Empty Netter.

I feel that they will hold Bjugstad to 1 goal, but Brodzinski and other teammates will come up big and Bjugstad will feed his teammates the whole night. Im hoping to see a great fight between 2 great teams

not saying this is a huge difference but they also have a new coach this year, and from my perspective the team doesn't seem as tightly bound together as they were under the previous coach. (sorry i forgot his name for some reason)

Yes Austin has improved number wise from last year, but as stated earlier did Austin not play a few "warm-up" games ? I mean they have 2 wins against some well below average teams and they have so many goals because I'm sure the tender's on those teams weren't to hot. I don't mean to demea...

any reports on the games ? East took Winona into OT after being down 3-1 with a couple of minutes left but a few big saves in OT by Welle and a GW Goal by Aaron Theis sealed the 4-3 OT victory for the Winhawks. There were a lot of bad and missed calls in that game including a waved off goal in the f...
