Must be a down year for goalies, several are below .500 and not in the top 45 on goals against or save %. Seems in years past a goalie at least had to be above .500 to make the list I would disagree. Only 2 teams of the 10 semifinalists are below .500 (WBL and North Metro), but I think it's good th...

I saw in the Tribune today that HM put up sixty shots on Tartan. Scoring four times. Curious, because of this thread, I took a look at the games stats for Tartan. If you look Tartan gets terribly outshot at home compared to on the road. I am guessing there are a few phantom shots that get counted at...

What you are seeing in WBL is the result of a few down years at the association level. Too many parents involved only looking to benefit their own child. They didn't grow the girls side, they didn't try to develop all the girls, only daughters and friends. For WBL's sake I hope the current regime is...

Recruiting
I thought this would be a fun topic now that the season is almost over. Please don't read anything derogatory or accusatory into it, Iwould just like to have a little light hearted banter. On two seperate occasions this year, I was told Palmquist recruited his two goalies. One was from a grandfather...

Hill-Murray did outshoot Roseville 28-12. The biggest difference in the game was goaltending. Brandt in my mind is clearly the best player in the state. Not to take away anything from Allen, but I think Brodt and the total team defense was the difference. 28 shots, but not too many quality scoring ...

HM
Ok, don't laugh, I am kinda chuckling myself, but... My sister's hair dresser says there is a girl leaving WBL for HM, because her/her family feels there is a better opportunity for a scholarship at HM. I know it sounds like a funny rumor from the hairdresser and all,but I thought I would see if the...

Section 4 ramps up tonight, any thoughts? I, personally don't anticipate a first round upset, but then again I am a terrible prognosticator.

4AA Playoffs
I'm not sure what I missed. But the playoffs are looking to be pretty interesting. Lets try and keep this thread civil, so we don't get shut down again.
Have the seeding been posted yet, I checked last night and all I saw was St. Paul V. Mpls. in the play in game

Definately a great list of young ladies. Congrats to all. One thing I first thought was, wow Minnetonka could sweep the awards. Then I realized so could Warroad. If an award would happen to go to a girl from one school, would that maybe hurt the chance for the other girl from the same school. Just t...

The stat sheet I saw had 4 for 8 min. all in the 3rd. My boy played against her in peewees, and my girl skated with her this summer. My daughter got along with her real well. (I had to ask) She is too talented to be taking so many penalties. She may not have deserved that 5 min. penalty, but she ear...

Re: Suburban East Conference
WBL took 4 penalties against Irondale, 1 against Grand Rapids, 2 against Hibbing and 2 against East Ridge.
I notice WBL took the least penalties in the games that were 1 sided wins.
Gracious in victory, poor sports in defeats?

an 8 save shut out is hardly noteworthy I disagree, a shutout is a shutout, and sometimes the ones with fewer shots are more difficult. I suppose staying awake between shots could be a challenge. LoL A game that one sided, I assume there weren't many challenging shots. It is still a goose egg, I wo...

I watched the online stream of Hill vs. Tonka. One thing to note regarding Hill's first period shellacking. The announcers said the Hill team didn't arrive in Tonka until about 6:15. I assume they were stuck in traffic. Could be the reason for being a little slow in the first. They palyed well enoug...
