Benilde tuition does not cover room and board, so don't add that into the estimate of the cost of the U.
I would be pretty sure that the UofM tuition is less than Benildes $12,000.

I think this was classless and a bad decision by the coach. The kid has bad plenty of opportunities for home fans to see him. In close games, I'm sure the 1st and 2nd lines play a lot more than 3 and 4 never gets on the ice. In blow outs keep 1 and 2 off, especially in the third period or it will ap...

What about a system like what is down in English Professional soccer. At the end of each season the lowest ranking x number of teams are relegated down to the lower level, and the top x teams from the lower level are moved up. So we would end up with a true 2-tier system. Look at section 4a, if the ...

I'd like to hear comments on this: last night at a game the team with the puck parked their big guy in front of the net. The defenseman is bumping and pushing him (you see this every game), the d pushes a bit too hard from behind and the big guy falls down. Last year this would have cross checking o...

So 'the puck' says 'The game shouldn't be tampered and that's my opinion. ' I know you are on here a lot and that you seem to garner respect, but I have to say that is the dumbest comment I've heard all year. Games evolve, all games. As players evolve the games need to also. Everything evolves. Life...

Bandy - great comment. I agree completely. I watched a game played since the injury There was a check from behind, not at all brutal, no one got hurt, but it wasn't accidental. He was given a 2 and a 10. That's a long time to think about it in the box. I'm undecided whether he should have been throw...

gratuitous hits
MNhockeyFan – I know coaches and fans love to see them (hard hits). But I think they are intrinsically dangerous, and not integral to the game (scoring goals). I don’t think kid’s health should be endangered because ‘coaches and fans love them’. They are not roman gladiators (kill each other for our...

cutting down on injuries
I have a son who plays high school hockey, and I’m very good friends with a few high school and youth coaches. This is the way I see it. Whats the purpose of checking? I think the ‘real’ purpose of checking to knock a player off the puck. If that’s correct, then there is never any reason to ‘finish ...

WB6162. I like your ideas. I'd take that a bit further. Let's also force Cambridge to give up hockey since they lost to DE by 16-0. And Henry Sibley who lost to H-M 17-2. And Richfield who lost 13-0. Actually, Como is ranked 135 out of 156 teams, let's get rid of the bottom 20 teams. They suck and h...

Forum To you guys who say they shouldn't be playing varsity: You seem to lose track of something. These are high school kids, student athletes, who play hockey because they love it. That's a good thing isn't it? This school hardly has enough tryouts to form a team (no one is cut) They aren't the ...

When the CDH football team gets up by 40 pts, the starters come out and never return. When the Hopkins basketball team gets up by 40, the starters will still be playing. My point is that some coaches handle the lopsided games with more grace than others. I would have liked to see the 3rd and 4th lin...
