2014 Edina vs Shattuck Prep...my money is on Edina...no question. You, I like. Somebody finally backs me up! DISCLAIMER: I don't eat cake. Disagree. Shattuck beats Edina 8 out of 10 times. Edina was the best team in MN, but their dominance was a product of upsets of the other top teams. To get to L...

It would be nice if the high school league would let them play in the tournament and then send the tournament winner to the USA hockey national championships for midget aaa but that might expose how overrated high school hockey is  Dead wrong: the top 5-10 teams here would do great in the AA...

Re: f
Agreed...not to mention LN was missing two key players with seperated shoulders courtesy of an Eagan hack (I'm refraning from naming names) and one key forward spent a lot of time in the bathroom...just sayin'. Only time will tell. Let's let the boys settle this one. Are those the same two kids who...

Hey Sortsdevotee-- I know a couple of the kids on the Shattuck AA team. They have played some highschool teams in MN, but they primarily play Junior Gold teams in MN. Shattuck's AAA team would be a better comparison to MN HS Hockey...then again The Shattuck Prep team has been beaten a few times by s...

RonB: Why so sensative?! You make a blanket statement about a lot of parents. Heck I know some really great cake eater parents and some from EP too............and the list would go on and on.......!! You need a hug........ :):) Dont mistake sensative for sarcasm...and it wasnt a blanket statement--...

Re: Lakeville North Strikes again
Ron, it was not just a "hockey camp." My kid was there as well. The goalie was on the bench helping open the door and a boy hopped over and it was just bad luck. You are correct - It wasn't "just" a hockey camp - the Goalie was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks and that's why ...

Regardless of LN's off season acquisitions, they are still a great team. Nothing can be done about the roster at this point, so we might as well enjoy the fact that 1AA could have a legitimate contender in the tourney this year. Thanks for the positive comment. I think you are right. Lakeville has ...

Im a little late on this conversation...With all do respect the LN Freshmen goalie is doing a good job, with that said, he was asked to come to Lakeville! As a freshmen in Farmington he would be back-up on Varsity, not bad for a freshmen! But a couple of people here in lakeville sweetened the pot a...

Kind of looks like the future powerhouse programs will not be the schools that recruit, the schools and communities that have money or the communities with a solid youth progam...but the schools that can hold onto good coaches and keep them safe from the parents. What happens to these kids after hi...

"Good riddance" "I'm sure his father is proud". "Pretty sad that they fight...." Glad to see the hockey moms on the board!! Yes, shame on Jessie for being a boy handling himself by the rules of the "man" league he is playing in. Don't worry Jessie the...

Were these kids in dorms with Stefano as the hall monitor? Will the principal be let go because he/she is in charge of all students? Teachers must also be punished....? Lunch ladies? Shouldn't the responsibility of the staff go away when the kids go away from their watch...? Makes no sense! Amen......

I watched our best player annihilate some poor 3rd line player that found himself with the puck at center ice. Text book clean hit. The kid laid on the ice convulsing with a concussion, it ended his season. He was hauled off on a stretcher. The hit ended the play. It resulted in no goal. Our player...
