I agree with Bob....comments about a kid like "horrific" are irresponsible and immature. HockeyRoch...you are obviously connected to this sophomore goalie in some way other than just a fan. Way too much ranting and raving about him .......take it easy and enjoy watching kids play a game th...

GMHfan...this tourney has seen better teams and better attendance...but you need to remind yourself that these are kids playoing a game they love to play and for someone like you to get on here and bash the tournament is ir-responsible and uncalled for. Go to your Schwanns tourney and have fun....no...

Watched the game against JM......Mayo has a very nice top line, but their 2 and 3 line were not visibly any better than JM's 3 lines. JM has improved nicely year to year and Mayo will have a good season but would be a little concerned about depth come section time....

If they are really a given to get through the big nine and sections.....I'm thinking they should not have struggled that much with Champlin Park....right???....they lost 5-2

Unbelievable

Let the kids play a game they love to play for those reasons.......it's not about you as parents and BTW, be glad you have quality coaches to coach your kids. BTW, pretty sure none of your kids are going to play beyond high school....so relax and enjoy their youth.....

Really Sad

Not only is the basis of this thread sad, but what's more disturbing overall is the pressure parents and coaches are putting on kids in youth hockey to achieve the highest level every year. It's one thing to take a kid to the rink for practices and games from October to March and BTW at the A level ...

This is old crap...Lakeville South and Mankato West would beat at least 2 or 3 of the other teams in the tournament depending on their initial draw. Bashing section 1 is pretty ignorant....

Rochester needs an off-season option other than the one and two week camps to get these kids that want to excel on the ice a couple times a week. In the Twin Cities and some/most areas up north, they have options to keep kids skating a couple times a week all summer. That's the difference.....maybe ...

All the way around it's wrong....stick with the facts and don't get hung up on the HS vs Junior thing. This is a kid that bailed on his team mid-season....and btw a team that could have, probably would have made some noise the 2nd half. It's also about a horrible deed done by the Isles whether they ...

Leimbeck was a very good HS hockey player who would have been best served doing the same thing Notermann did by playing 1-2 yrs in juniors. Then to compare, Leimbeck would have been by far more attractive to any college hockey program than Notermann would have been.

Coachk, why the attitude?? It's easy to slam a coach, a program etc.....The adult thing to do is offer an alternative. How would you fix things?? But you obviously are unable to get past your personal feelings....very sad.

A vs B

Thanks to those of you who responded to this. However, in the question of the difference in time and financial commitment, it actually can be significant in the organization I'm speaking of. The difference in the number of tournaments and traveling games is significant. However, from the amount of t...

A vs B

I have a question that's not on the exact same subject, but would appreciate comments. Let's say you have a squirt or PW that could/would play at the A level, but for some reason one year (financial, personal, family, parent jobs, etc) may need to play in B's. Would this be severely damaging to thei...
