Wow, a lot has happened since I last logged on. Quite a few, new interesting characters.

My hat is off to Albert Lea, and Congrats on the win!!! Sounded like a great game between two great teams.

Albert Lea wins over Northfield by one goal.

It was great to see all the girls out at the rink this past sunday in the 4 on 4 league. There were 150 girls that showed which is excellent and I hope helps all teams here in the South. Does anyone know the status of Jenna Christensen from Albert Lea. Sunday I was told she has a knee injury from s...

Funny. We should have a poll, nominating a new name for RSI. Or falcons , maybe you could come up with one of your top ten lists. That could be entertaining. Serious note, it is good to hear Brittany Arendt is the new assistant at Albert Lea. I believe it says a lot for our sport, when a young woman...

I agree with coach Gunderson about Redwing, just look at my previous posts. RSI and I saw the same thing at the Northfield scrimmage. However, we say this about Northfield every year(expect great things) and then they seem to be unable to win. They have to learn to win. They probably have the best a...

Yes we are short of several AL girls due to injuries(which I will not comment), soccer, and vacations. There are about 4-5 of your veteran group there. Next week should show a few more. I am really impressed with the younger AL girls (7-9th graders). They play hard and hungry. The girls that are the...

So according to the votes, AL should win it again or wait they have never won it. Neither has Faribo. :D I will also join this thread and leave the past behind. I have yet to cast my vote. I really like my bracket buster (Redwing). This group is really on a mission. I can not wait to see Northfield...

Doesn't Austin have a very young team now with the 3 Seniors they lost? I would not say young. They will be led by two Seniors, Catherine Wagner(#2 in state, in golf) and Kyli Elingson. Two very good players that are well seasoned. Then they have a supporting cast of 6-7 juniors and also 4 sophomor...

Going with the living in the past theme: Teams, Seniors graduated, percentage of total team points Albert Lea, 2, 5% Austin, 3, 38 % Faribault, 6, 51 % Northfield, 1, 21 % Redwing, 2, 27% Waseca, 2 , 10 % I understand that there is a lot more than points in a game and some seniors were defensemen an...

I am able to talk more freely. I am not as attached. I agree with RSI on Mayo in the Big 9. The team to beat. 1. MAYO 2. MW ( can they ever Beat AL though) 3. AL 4. Owatonna 5. Austin 6. Faribault 7. JM 8. Winona 9. Century 10. ME 1A prediction, Austin does start on top, until they are beaten, but t...

How well is this tournamnet attended by players and is it worth it to participate for scouting opportunities. Any Opinions ??? If your player makes a team, it is definitely worth attending. With the new NDP tryouts, a whole group of juniors are left out. (Fall 90's) So this might be their only chan...

I recieved a private message from the one and only Falcons89. He/She congratulated Austin on their win, wished them the best, and stated Faribault and section 1A was behind them.

This may surprise some, but it was somehow Albert Lea's fault that faribault lost that section championship.

Which Section has the most Forum Viewers?

This will add some validity to the polls. My bet is it will come down to section 1A and Alex. ( I believe they are section 6A)

Caveman, I think Tigerpower was being sarcastic. Gocards, Austin is a young team, that lost 8 good seniors last year. They have developed over the season like a small community, outstate team should. Could they beat those teams now? Don't know. Are they as good as Alex. on paper. Not a chance. Are t...

Austin 7 Faribault 1 A promise is a promise. I expect a bird free zone. Let us return this thread to what it should be. First of all, congrats to all section 1A teams. All the teams competed and gave it their all. I salute the AL girls, and the support they gave us at the game. With our I90 rivalry,...

Redwing has a nice young team that is well coached. Their best is yet to come.

The shocker

Albert Lea 0
AL was missing their caoch due to illness. I still believe this team has a lot of talent and a great group of girls.

Funny. Do I understand this right. If Austin goes to state this forum becomes bird free? Does that mean just the falcons89 id or all of your ids? Does this wager also apply to AL going to state? Maybe the wager should be if Faribault does not make it to state? Then again this site could be boring bi...

I now know how RSI feels. I go away on a boat in the carribean for 5 days and this whole section forum runs wild. There are some really silly posts here. In reality, it was only one game. One game does not make a season. I know the talent AL has, and the great group of girls that play for them. SMoline, you are right. Last night was a great team effort. As a coach, I know how difficult it is to get every player...

One more thing, was I the only one that noticed towards the end, it was 4 on 4 with each team having a player in the box, Austin scored (with time left on both penalties), and the refs let our player out, giving us a power play. Perfect example of the reffing.      Th...

The game was much closer than the score indicates.

It was good to see falcons89 again. He will probably take a 24 hour cooling down period, though. Hey AL, I can be bought. Please send lots of cash for the identity. :D
