finance_gal, only time will tell regarding the depth of 2010. It will tough to bet the depth of the class that is leaving for their freshman year this school year. If my info. is correct I believe it is 31 or 34 girls from the grad class 2008 will be playing D1 hockey. Those are some lofty numbers f...

I'm sure it will be held. It is always around mid June, or right after school is done for the summer.

Hockeyislife26, you may want to go back and review the score sheet, but from what I remember Feste did not score in the championship. Seeler 1 goal, Ludwigson 1 goal, and Green 3 goals. I'm also quite sure you are from Chaska being that your only other post talks about how great Chaska was against B...

I really believe the Gophers already have the verbal for next year's winner. The race is for the other final 4.

Mariucci I agree is not the answer. I don't like the idea of playing on such a big sheet of ice. Just to many teams not used to that size of ice. Besides I think the size would also slow the game down.

GopherFanArm, I agree with your accessment of the play. It was a very unfortunate play and in the game of hockey those types of plays are going to happen. You can only hope and pray that they don't happen often and when they do, that the player is never seriously hurt. I'm praying for a speedy and f...

GopherFanARM, my mistake and the thing is I double checked before posting my comments. My apology goes out to Havel. Havel must be a quick learner, she wasn't going to let A. Green use that same move on the drive to the net.

Nothing against CDH goalie, she played a great tourney, but if they are only going to put 1 goalie on the AA all-tournament team how can it not be Burke with the state champion.

Receiving a letter and getting an offer are two different things. Ask anyone who has been through the process, I'm with gopher9 and Abe. Williams and possibly Ladner. No one else on that team will be playing D1!!!

Hanson I'm with you and I would take your freight trainers all day everyday! Couldn't agree more gogher9, the game wouldn't be close, easily a 4 goal difference.

My thoughts go back to a post I started a couple of days ago regarding penalties by seniors. Being EP is a senior dominated team wouldn't it hold true that this team is probably bigger and stronger and ends up receiving additional penalties because of this?

My case an point. Over 1/2 are not seniors, 2 that are have not committed to play D1, and a couple are late signs. Sarah Erickson of Benidji (has missed 6-7games) Emily Erickson, Dana Gallop and Molly Arola of GRG (only 1 senior in group and she signed late W/ BEMIDJI) Sadie Lundquist of Cloquet (NO...

MNhockeyfan, many of the players you mention are NOT SENIORS, which my post speaks directly of. In addition S. Erickson plays a very physical style and has missed over a 1/3 of Bemidji's games this year competing with team U18.

Thanks to i play hockey and gopher9. I agree 100% that after watching many of these top penalty takers play and watching a lot of D1 hockey these players will be just fine once they get to the next level. Many of these players I'm sure have worked extremely hard during the off-season to get where th...

I'm sure every single one of them is being sought after for more than their penalty minutes, so I don't quite understand the goon reference. To the best of my knowledge each and everyone that has committed is on schoarship. That doesn't necessarily mean that each and everyone is 100%

Media are you just a little bias with the kids from the North and players that have attended your summer camp? Justice is in the top 10 IMO not sure if she is top 5.

Top 5 IMO
Grogan (eagan)
Altmann (eagan)
Haralson (wayzata)
Hunter (bloom. kennedy)
Richards (richfield)

Penalty Leaders why do they get such a bad rap?

Interesting facts that I picked up reviewing the MGHCA website. These numbers are as of 1/13/08 and only as accurate as the MGHCA information. I pulled the top penalty minute players, used seniors only, and players with at least 10 points. This is a complete listing of all senior players that fell i...
