Blaine vs Century
Being polite to Century should not change the facts. Blaine will, and is totally dominating Century. Section 1AA is rarely a threat no matter who they send.

Ne need
Wow. Amazing how some of you can take everything out of context. Sure glad you have no say the greater good of hockey. For those of you that do not agree, I could give a rat’s bottom. FYI, Elliott and I agree to disagree. He is a very respectful and respected man that is a rare commodity now a days....

Outstate
All 3 of my kids played from age 5 until they graduated. That’s 39 regular season teams. We traveled up to Cloquet some times twice a year and never played a Cloquet team because there was never one in the tournament. This story was repeated several times over in other northern towns and I have ever...

state of the state
It is a hockey tournament and that's all it is. Don't get caught blowing everything out of proportion. Elliott, I'm sorry but I do not agree with your reasoning or your comparisons. Adults should teach children, not live in childrens shoes.

Not impressed
Be careful. Metro teams flock up north and bring a ton of revenue during the season. Many northern associations would have to change if Metro teams boycotted going up north. You need us just like we need you. A little history lesson is at hand. As a southern boy growing up, I always looked forward t...

The state of state
Elliot - We have met during the U14 tournament. Have not heard you talk like this before. Maybe it's time to move on. Rules and venues change and so does the leadership. I would expect more from an old vet.

The State of state
I had 3 kids play hockey and each went to state 2 times. To be honest, the "up north" hosts were the kindest and put on the best state tournaments. The drawback was the extra expense which at times was hard to deal with. The really crappy thing about playing state "Outstate" was ...

Lakeville - 1AA
Lakeville South (most down here call them Elko South) was a huge underdog. They played well in the first period of both games with an "in your face style" and big checks but they lost steam in the second and third periods. Not scoring a single goal and going 2 and out did not impress many....

LNHS parents and players are a great group. To bad for you. If you could read you would have noticed the complaint is about how the City of Lakeville unfairly interfered. Most teams schedule a 50% home and away schedule. Home rink advantage is a factor. Now they get one less home game against one of...

The game this weekend was a home game for LNHS at Ames Arena. The city of Lakeville (not the school district) who runs both rinks had the game moved to Hasse Arena which is LSHS's home rink. They took away the home ice for LNHS because they want to show off the new Hasse Arena. Now LNHS has to play ...

Checking in girls hockey
Below are the MHSL rules for interpreting legal and illegal (checking) body contact in girl’s hockey. I would like to hear opinions on this subject. “Understanding Body Contact in Girls Hockey” Body contact is a feature of the girls' game. Intentional body checking is not. Body checking occurs when ...

Hard work for what?
Hear is a question for all the critics, cynics and doubters. If Lakeville is in the wrong for asking out of D8 then why is D8 going to great lengths to rearrange the teams for the same reasons. And explain away this, many in D8 agree with Lakeville that something needs to change.

the facts
If you read the above email you'll find that only A and B peewee and bantams will move to the new region. That's 12 teams out of 35 total traveling teams. So I guess the other 23 traveling teams will have to wait a few more years. The more I study the process and the progress of this realignment iss...

The famous email
Below is Rick's email to the LHA president explaining his reason he decided against the move. It seems to be purely an "ego minded" no vote as no reasons were given other then it would not be fair to the others. From: rrakness@xxxxxxxx.net To: LHAPresidentTLS@xxxxxxxx.com Sent: Sat, 30 Jun...

Thanks
Elliott, thanks for updating us all on which region/division Lakeville has been assigned. It was just last week, Sept 16th that several members of LHA went to Moorehead and made a presentation to MN Hockey and the info they had at that time was they were in the Central region/division. You can even ...

what is next
I would like to say that all the efforts made by D8 so far have been appreciated but since this situation seems to be changing on a weekly basis my best advise is that the wrong approach is being taken. So far all their solutions have been met with very strong disagreements and to continue this appr...

If this has changed it is news to many of us and must have happened very recently.

Travel time
Really makes a good point. It is possible that Lakeville will on average travel more then they used to because some of the relatively close associations like Eagan were put into a different section. Tomass makes a great point also. Let's start hearing from the D8 perspective on why Lakeville should ...

Lakeville has 2 separate high schools in one school district. Lakeville hockey separates into North and South as per the high school boundaries and the rules of MN Hockey. The Lakeville Hockey Association is just like Bloomington. One group of elected officials that govern two separate school bounda...

Really is really right
I should help “Really” explain the situation. Whether there are written records or not Lakeville has been trying to change districts for 10+ years. This is the furthest they have gotten thus far in their quest. Most years it is put to rest quickly by those in charge at various levels of authority. L...

What If?
People will always say, "Boy I wish we could play with or for so and so. The better competition would do us good" or you might hear "we always get our butts kicked playing in this district because we are so small. I wish we could play in so an so". Well with Lakeville it is a bit...
