Mankato West is a great team. I know alot of people don't know much about them so here is a little preview: They are led by two great scorers in Ricky Litchfield and Corey Leivermann. Litchfield led the state in scoring 33-56-89 and Leivermann wasn't far behind 39-32-71 (Leivermann also missed 4 gam...

Who should get the top 4 seeds in Class A?

I'm just curious what everyone thinks the seeding should look like? Reason Mankato West will win this game 1. Tyler Bruggeman- I don't care what people say about their weak schedule. Here is a stat line for you: 22 games played, 521 saves, .929 save % (I don't care what your schedule is that's impressive!) 2. Ricky Litchfield- Leading scorer in the state. Fast, grea...

i hope Lourdes piss pounds them Lourdes- 6 West- 2 That is absolutely ridiculous!!! Lourdes only beat West by a goal and West was missing two good hockey players in Deopere and Bruggeman. West is playing their best hockey of the year. I believe they win this game and show everyone that Mankato West...

Big win for Mankato West tonight because AL lost and so did Red Wing. Congratulations to West for winning the Big 9! The first time in their history. Ricky Litchfield also had 4 points and is now currently the leading scorer in the state. What happened to Albert Lea tonight? If someone was there let...

Mankato West beat Rochester Century tonight 4-2. Litchfield had a hand in all of the goals recording 1 goal and 3 assists. Go Ricky!!! That puts him at 82 points for the year! Does anyone know how Lehrke did tonight?

Can't wait for the games tonight! It should be two fantastic games, I don't think they will disappoint. I could be wrong but I think Marshall will play a much more inspired hockey game than they did against Austin. If they don't AL will destroy them. The big factor in the Mankato West vs New Ulm gam...

That game in Marshall sounds like it was a heck of a game. Marshall is very fortunate to come away with a win. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Marshall will come to play on Sat. and give AL a run for their money. Good luck to both teams! I was at the Mankato West vs Windom game. I was ver...

So now that the first round is over who do you think has the best chance to upset the 4 top seeds. AL vs Waseca Mankato West vs Windom New Ulm vs Luverne Marshall vs Austin Absolutely no disrespect to New Ulm but the only team that I believe can upset one of these teams is Luverne. I remember hearin...

The East coach sat Kolstad and Means because of their big mouths. Apparently both of the kids were lipping of to their coach and the coach finally got sick of it and sat them. Big props to the head coach of East. I don't care who you are you have to respect your coach!!!

ilovelife23 you and me see eye to eye. That's exactly what I meant the intensity of the game was great. After the first period it was 3-2 AL. Then AL decided to take over. I'm sure AL will certainly win but I love to watch games that have good intensity and I love to watch the kids put it all out th...

As much as I hate to be a homer on this one, I just can't see any of the home teams losing. The only one that I believe could be an upset is the East vs. Waseca game. Even though it won't be a real big upset seeing as though Waseca beat East earlier in the year 8-5. If East can stay out of the penal...

I completely agree with powerplay. I have been to some games at the civic center. If there isn't more than 2000 people in there it's very quiet. The atmosphere at GAC is amazing, it's about the perfect size for a section final and semi final.

EaglesFan the best of luck to ya. That's what is sounds like with your New Ulm team, if they are going to win big games they need to stay out of the box and play 5 on 5 hockey. Another question I had is who are the kids to watch for when watching your New Ulm squad? Klein I have heard is one of them...

One more thing, "Anderson needs to play with more fire" that is obsurd! That kid plays as hard as he possibly can every game. I don't think I have ever seen him take a shift off. If you have any little kids that want to be hockey players you tell them to watch #7 on Mankato West. Another g...

Pretty good assesments. I only one I disagree with is the Deopere. He is a good fore checker and defensive forward. But lacks the ability to put the puck in the net and doesn't see the ice very well. I love his intensity though plays the game hard
