Those teams earned their seed. What's wrong with making the regular season worth something. This isn't the NBA!

Well Put observer!! The examples above hypothetic and a little contrived. You two have not been paying much attention. Elliot's example is what happens. Just because a team loses it's fair play point doesn't mean it's an undisciplined team. The difference in referees is a big part of it. This is so...

I don't know where you got your statistics and I'm not sure they're accurate. If a team is losing every game 10-0 they probably are at the wrong level. However, I don't think it's right that a team that might win 40-50% of their games at the A level moves down to dominate the B level if their associ...

The question is why don't other small associations do the same thing. It would make for a great B level and it would allow these associations to play close games all year long, instead of losing 10-0 against some of the larger associations. And if we add tournaments for levels C through Z, everyone...

Roseau beat Blaine 7-1. It was never really a game. Roseau had them beat 7-1 before Blaine even scored a goal.

Ram Hockey has posted on the other board that Mankato is the 12th team. They must be pretty good - they beat New Ulm.

Question: How will you handle the District 8 teams and the Wisconsin Fire? At the District 8 scheduling meeting all D8 teams were told they were not allowed to play the Fire, even if they run into them in a tournament they are not allowed to play them or face penalties from District 8. Pretty silly

Re: Thoughts for parents of peewee/bantams in this off-seaso

Interesting data points for parents. I went to the 2006 State B tourneys in Buffalo and yesterday ran across the Bantam B roosters for the teams that participated. I cross checked it with the players listed at their respective high schools at the start of the season to see how many made it to the v...

And that would make those poor private school boys feel bad. Its better for their self esteem if they have their A team play against everyone else's B teams.

It should be noted that Richfield's team is comprised of every single kid who tried out for Bantams this year--all 16 of them--including a Peewee aged kid who had to play up to round out the team. Amazing . It might be an uphill battle for them in New Ulm, but what a story, and a great example of w...
