Marshall bleached their hair for the 7A title game, so they should offer up some good candidates. Even Brendan Flaherty had some decent flow going. You were right on with Marshall, 2, 7, 8 and 30 the goalie all with some decent "flowage." Heck even coach Flaherty could get a nomination. A...

StarTrib Top 100....where are the Grand Rapids guys?

Where is that guy who loves GR? Haven't heard him on this board lately...must be eating some cake! Anyways only one GRapids player on the list so far. Who else could we see showing up? Goligoski, Marinucci, Bischoff, Casey, Rohloff? Who do you think will be the top three? Spehar, Pohl and Mayasich? ...

My best memory is having some CakeEater high school girl sit in my lap during the tourney. Our high school seats were in their section and I took the overflow.......too bad I was too young to understand how to work my "tools" then. I was in love.

East won't be suiting up #33, nor will he be giving a pep talk this year. I am going WBL 4-2. Please Bears for my father can you make it out of the first round?

Vegas Odds?

What book puts them out? I recall there were odds last year.

Any chance WBL stays in Saint Paul this year? Or is it Mariucci again? I am actually cheering for them to end the drought this year....seriously it's been way too long!

The Spuds were a two seed in 8AA this year, so far 2 for 3. I think the only other two seed to have a chance is G-Rock in 7AA.

2nd that.

Around 4:30 I stopped by Mariucci to pick up tickets and the students where lined up outside the gates waiting to get in. By far the most impressive student section last night. EP on the other hand.....where is your school spirit?

What is the word on Leddy's health? Heard he is still stuggling from a thigh bruise and was not close to 100% at yesterday's practice?

Hope this isn't the case....looking forward to the games tonight.

SSP had some great chances early and both goalies played well in keeping the score 0-0 for the better part of the game. Shots favored Mh who shot often, and from everywhere, where SSP had fewer shots but played well. This was a very close game until the end IMO. I thought the difference was # 14 fr...

Would have to go with the University of Wisconsin Band. I still remember the days when they had the Final Five at the old Civic Center and when the Badgers were on the power play they wouldn't shut up. Believe they still have the same chant/song.

I'd be curious what Anders Lee's take on this topic is. If he had stayed at STA he would have won a state A title, but he left and lost in the AA finals. I'm wondering if he would prefer to play in a 1/2 empty arena & win or play in a packed arena & maybe lose. He's experienced both, just c...

My original post has nothing to do with Hill or their goalie. The point I am trying to make is that with all of the talent coming through the youth programs of Edina, they should have more state tournament appearances than they have had under his watch. What do they have three tourney appearances un...

Hopefully Giles coaches Edina for the next 15 years....

Because they will never win a championship with him behind the bench.

How do you not win it with that much talent? 10 Elite League players. 6 D1 college players?

Wes the hockey fan.....the man, the myth, the legend?

I see this guy at every high school game I go to-Edina @ Tonka, Section 2AA/6AA/3AA finals. Saw him again at the tourney today. Ran into him last night at the A banquet and he said he has gone to the past 40 or so banquets, he also mentioned he didn't have a car. How does he do it? All I have to say...

What a great game tonight. Being an unbiased fan, I thougth WBL got screwed on the non goal in the first period. I was sitting five rows up on the goal line and the puck clearly went in-IMO-before the whistle blew. I thought the refs were questionable tonight as well-they didn't call a lot of penalt...
