Like it was mentioned... goalies have a bad night... any one of the goalies mentioned or those that have save percentages above .92 and/or GAA under 3 are all very good goalies.
I for one remember playing a goalie that ended up D1, the goalie had 45-50 saves and shut us out! His squad only managed about 15-20 shots, but scored 5! The goalie we had in wasn't D1 caliber(had a bad night), but the soph. on the bench was...What stats don't tell you is the quality of saves being made, power play shot/goal attempts, etc. I'm sure we left that goalie with a bruised midsection!...because we got shots on goal, but never really challenged him.
When it gets to this point, a goalie should have his technique down at 17-18 years old. I truely believe it becomes MENTAL for goaltenders, from HS on. Moreso than other positions.
