O.K, with the exception of an upset here and a tie there each year I for one chalk that up to "anyone can beat anyone else on any given day" just because there kids. The real facts are.. Forest Lake has had alot of losing seasons over the years and no real success for a program that has be...

With all do repect White Bear. Without knowing for sure, i would imagine all or most of Hastings-F.L- Mounds View- and Park's wins have all come against each other? Forest Lake has had a hockey program for 30 years or more, i believe. I don't ever recall Forest lake ever being in the State tourney o...

Why is Forest Lake always so bad year after year?

I noticed Forest Lake lost again today to a really bad Hastings team. What's it going to take for this program to ever become a winner. Have they ever finished even in the Middle of their conference? This program has been around along time.

I've heard the D is real bad this year. Also heard the goalie was having an off year. I saw them earlier in the year and would agree the D is as bad as i've seen, but i thought the goalie looked very solid. What was the score tonite?

C'mon Dude's. . I don't care about a few year's. Go back to like, say 1990. Make this a real argument. And i don't really care about the could'a/would'a/ should'a/ stuff. Rochester is a big community, and for quite some time, other than a couple exceptions their teams have failed miserbly. My origin...

o.k your either the director of this lousy tournament or your Joe Kiwanis himself. The only bright thing you said was "The great game of Hockey". 1. Rochester Mayo can play with most teams, most nights.. That may be true, but there in a lousy Conference/Section/Holiday tournament. That wou...

You are high.. But it ain't on hockey. I'm guessin' either glue or you've been sucking the helium out of your Scooby Doo birthday baloons. Year after year this is the cheeziest tournament in the state. No way would any of this field compete in the Schwans. This field would make for a better grapplin...

I see Hastings won last night. How about them Raiders. Not sure how many of Rosemount's good players are left? Is Santy still around? How about Chuck Foreman's kid? Anyone at the game? Just curious how both teams looked?

I've been saying it for quite some time. Other than a couple years the last 10 or so. Hastings has had some of the most unskilled players i have watched at the high school level, anywhere. Are those kids learning anything? At some point don't you have to start looking at the coaching or "lack t...

Who in their right mind would pick Hastings? Must be a glue sniffer.. Hastings won't win 5 games. Welsch couldn't win WITH talent. How in the world do you think he'll get anything out of this collection? I'm not sure they've got enough talent to field a good JV team. The SEC will be bad again this y...

Just another Money maker for someone. "Let's catch all the seniors on there way out now". Although some good player's, most are kids yet decieded on where there going to college or Jr's.. Bottem line. Just another way to pay the mortgage.

I agree. No program can lose the talent Hastings lost the last 2-3 years, but from what i've heard the kids- the parents-the community no one can stand this Welch guy. He's lost taleneted kids to Jr. Gold over the last several year's just because they will not play for Welch. They won't even try out...

Hastings had 1 little run when Welch's kid played with Taff-Utect etc. late 90's maybe. Since then he hasn't done much at all. Or before that. Someone told me he's been there since the early 90's. I'm sorry, but 2-3 State appearences in 20 year's? I'm not impressed. Weak section for alot of that tim...

Not sure. I know St Thomas & St. Johns are usually attractive to both sides as alot of the Cadet players are very good students as well. Rooney's another kid, from what I saw that put's up big #'s skates well and doesn't look real big in stature but plays like a monster.. You don't read alot abo...

I heard a year of JR's maybe. In any event. I saw the STA- Hill game at the X in FEB. And the State Tourney last week. This kid is fun to watch. Great hands and he's like trying to knock over a bowling ball. I think some schools are going to regret not picking this kid up. His day is coming.

First of all Secord Sucks!! But i would have to agree with you Big Al. At what point and time does the coach start taking on some of the responsiblity? When do the kids and the families stop leaving and the coach step down?? I have tried to be open minded about this subject, but it just seems as tho...

At no time should this kid have felt like he was part of the team. Sound's to me like he could care less about his team or teammates.. Why would you want him around? Instead of hoping he reconsiders his decision as it says on another thread. They should have been hoping he got caught again so he get...

From what i heard the benching of the Waxlax kid was legitimate. He wasn't hustling back to the play. I don't think you can blame the coach for that. But it sounds like this kid has been a cancer all along. He gets suspended for like the 3rd time since his Soph. year for 12 games at the start of the...

First of all. I would be willing to bet not all the kids that attend Warroad are from only Warroad. Same thing in Roseau and alot of those communities. You don't think they move around up there as well, for the sole purpose of fielding a good team? I could be wrong, but i would bet that is the case ...

Don't you people ever get tired of the St. Thomas Academy subject? I personally have no connection what so ever to St Thomas, but from everything i've heard it's a fabulous institution that turns out alot of great kids. So they have good run for a few year's and everbody cry's foul. This year's team...
