Mr. BoDangles - it's the 50th anniversary of Braemar being built. I wouldn't consider that "pushing." They are celebrating an anniversary. The Edina Historical Society opened an exhibit about the history of Edina hockey, too. Among the facts of interest... the city was designed and built w...

Goalie Peter Thome signs with North Dakota

Thome, from Minneapolis, played for BSM JV then left when Coach Pauley made it clear he preferred Jalen Long in net. Peter left BSM to go play in Chicago for the Fury.

Heard some solid players are considering Junior Gold. Sick of the BS and just want to have fun their senior year. You need the studs, but you also need depth. Sounds like average players that realize they aren't that good and don't want to make the commintment. Nothing wrong with that, but no need ...

The kids from the Edina program have already started to scatter. One is at Shattuck, a couple of others at privates. By the time they reach Varsity age others will go, too. Not much different then it is now. Edina has kids who leave early for ushl, and currently one who would have been a senior in ...

I don't think so. Bemidji's best chance is that Edina doesn't take the game seriously. That's a possibility, of course, but even so Bemidji is a looong shot. Best of luck to both teams!

Let me make sure I've got this right. Bowlby committed to St. Lawrence the summer after scoring zero goals as a junior? Something doesn't add up.[/quote]

What are you suggesting?

I've talked to a number of people who were there that disagree with your opinion hockeygirl. They said it was clear that the EP goalie escalated it and would be surprised if he were not suspended.

Thank you for your thoughtful and accurate reply nevertoomuchhockey. It's hard to understand when adults take shots at a 17 year old kid based purely on speculation and assumption. To me comments like stating that it's "daddy's money" without having any first hand knowlege of the kid/situa...

As for Edina, they have excellent schools and young wealthy people have moved back into that community. MN Made has helped them climb back to the top. Money, Training, Tradition = success. Others will compete but it's not easy when they field 10 or 11 teams at multiple levels. wow.. Another factor ...

Goalcrease called the current second year Edina Bantam goalies the deepest in one class they'd ever seen. The class behind them is not nearly as strong. Two years ago when the PW A team won the state title and the two B1 PW teams played for the state title there were no first year goalies. This year...

Seeing a ton of shots at 3x3 or at the local outdoor rink is good, but if you don't know what you're doing and you're reinforcing bad habits it can be a problem. IMO a combination of seeing a ton of shots AND training is needed. With training comes knowledge, with knowledge comes confidence, and wit...
