Anyone else think that the refs are missing a good game both ways in the game on sunday? I am not saying they are missing calls just one way, I think they are missing calls both ways on both teams. Since when can you run a goaltender over and get no penalty? In the Sioux's defense, he was pushed in...

Didn't see the game but listened to the broadcast. Alex jumps out to an early 2 goal lead and things looked good. Then went down 3 - 2 after Virginia picked up the pace. Sounds like the Cards played much better than yesterday but came up short today. Good luck to Virginia the rest of the Consolation...

Ok, I'll jump in.....Alex clearly wasn't on their game today, took too many penalties and paid for it. Murphy showed a soft spot high on his blocker side that the Zephs took advantage of (at least 5 of their 7 goals, maybe 6) came over his right shoulder. Give the Zephs credit, they have some sniper...

The Zephs had Murphy's number up high on the blocker side. Good scouting and good shooting. Alex took too many penalties to hang with them. Nice game by adams and that behind the back move by Marshall was the best move I have seen by a D man in HS. EVER. CONGRATS to the Zephs. Go deep in the tourney...

ALex is quicker than you might think.. I will take the Zephers, but not without a fight from Alex.. I'll say 4-3 Well, Alexandria's team surely wasn't built on size....they have some speed and some serious danglers on their top line. They have been getting production out of their second line especi...

Haven't seen Mahtomedi play but Alex has been improving all year. If they play 3 periods of hockey, I think this could be a close game. Looking at Mahtomedi's schedule, their only losses are to highly ranked A or AA teams so the Cards need to be totally on their game in all facets. Looking forward t...

Residents of Roseau love hockey. They have basketball teams etc..... they have put out some strong football teams as well as baseball...but in the end, it is hockey that is truley king. Maybe the players aren't as athletic, maybe they didn't play twin cities teams every week, maybe Edina's school h...

Alex is getting some production from their 3rd line now which they didn't in the earlier games vs Sartell. Provided the Cards stay out of the box and play with intensity from the get go, they should get by this game. These Seniors have gotten close the past two years and really want to close the dea...

Very true about the Apollo game. Score was 1-1 after first and 3-2 Alex after 2 with Apollo leading midway thru the game 2-1. However the wheels did come off in the third. You have to give the Apollo kids credit though, if you would have told somebody it would be 3-2 after two before the game they ...

I'll be at the Detroit Lakes/Willmar game tonight...we'll see how it goes. I haven't seen DL play this year but clearly they have some folks who can put the puck in the net. What, 3 players over 50 points if memory serves. Having said that, if Willmar shows up to play, they can get by anyone in thi...
