Mattson is deceptive fast
As a defenseman who has played against both many times. Mattson is sick Pitlick is easy just get in his way and he won't move the puck. Buddish is big and strong but does not have near the puck skills of Mattson. Watch the Edina, BSM game again and you will see how both Zierke and Bergland would exp...

Captain being stars
I love all these people that sound as if they were never voted captains. "It is a popularity contest", "Only the stars get to be the captains". This is the hypocrisy in so much of your thinking. We (you nay sayers included) tell our children if you work hard good things will happ...

You honestly believe that BSM (or Edina, for that matter) has a better program than Shattuck-St. Mary's? They did beat them this year, but BSM took third in the state and Shattuck took first in the country, so I'll give Shattuck the edge. As far as programs go, SSM is by far an away the best in the...

Re: Look
You guys kill me sometimes... CENTENNIAL has 6 Bantam A finals appearances since 2001. The high school has won 1 state high school tourney Can anyone explain how a program goes to Bantam A state finals for basically the entire decade and isn't a fixture at the state HS tournament? Don't give me the...

Elite league tested.
I watched this kid play in the elite league. He was the goalie for the NW. The only goalie who performed worse then him was the other goalie on the NW team, the kid from White Bear. I have heard they might not be asked back to the league after their horrible performances. I remember hearing that his...

Minnetonka deserved to win last night (and I am not a Skippers fan). Gardiner fired a shot at the end of the second period that went in and off the rail and back out as fast as it went in. No one seemed to realize he scored. It would have made it 3-0 and left Benilde's come back one short. What a t...

Before we take away Mike Lee's Vesina trophy, Lets see how Mr. Meyers handles his first capacity crowd at the X, little was mentioned of EP's five goal performance just a game ago. Meyers is Pauly's hand picked goalie, and it has been embarrassing to watch how he not allowed Meyers and Shibrowski's...

At least the privates don't act like they expect it
Who is the second defenseman going Division 1? Where is he going? I thought Minnetonka was by far the better team, minus goaltending. I as a neutral fan was not impressed with Benilde at all. Not sure if #13, Chris Student, was sick or something but I am glad he is not going to the U of M. I though...

Aaron was the best playmaker at state last year, his ability to break his team out was unreal, in fact most hockey people would agree he could have carried the puck even more but dished it off almost to a fault. So from one clip in one game we can determine he is now selfish? Get real, the kid did ...

Nice skills
This kid is a great player but that was not a great play. It looked pretty but my question is why would you cut to the middle of the ice when he could've taken it wide. Those are the types of decisions you see from gopher hockey players and we all know how well they are doing. My question is Will Aa...

Good Answer Good Answer
Can the parents cheer? No, they cannot cheer. Dads and Moms must wear ties. Parents cannot stand during games. Parents must run full speed to and from the bathrooms, making sure there is no toilet paper stuck to their foot. They are the most disciplined group of parents I have ever seen  This ...

Steve Zierke must be back at BSM
I hear Steve Zierke is playing High School football at BSM. I assume that means he will be back plaing hockey as well since they have a new coach. That is going to make them very competative. I hear he was metro player of the week once how can he be doing so well in football if coaches have such a h...

I think I get it, just confused by the double negative ...don't think a kid can't?....I'd say some kids can and there are some that shouldn't. I confused myself with the double negative. What about this conversation. A 11 or 12 year old kid comes up and says Dad I really want to play for the Fire. It seems to me that the no celebration is more of an in your face to the other team. Almost like saying look we expect to do this to you alot so it isn't even worth the energy to celebrate. by the way, why do you think you can be on the ice with us?

I've seen a lot of games
I feel bad for Northwest their goaltending is well below the level of this league. Funny considering they would have had Howe and Web.
That team basically spots every team 3 goals. Tough to do in this league.

Don't you just take the top 15?
I thought evaluators where supposed to score kids. Shouldn't you be taking the top 15 scores. I mean they are only Peewees so wouldn't the coach be switching players into different positons throughout the year. I can't believe you would be thinking that kid is playing this postion for me all season....

Re: Finally Merged
Armstrong will be more competative. The board members finally figured it out and have merged Armstrong with Cooper. It is about time people start thinking about what is best for their development as opposed to what is best for their egos. Another by-stander blasting those that volunteer their time?...

Cheating is not condoned
We are not condoning cheating. It has been my experience that those who cheat suffer a fate worse then forfeiting a game. They develop a reputation and they lose all respect by those in the hockey community. This affects their player. Remember In order to play at the highest level in AAA you must be...
