Just watched Holy Angels/Holy Family, HF has a freshman, Gersich soring 4 goals, the kid has some wiggle and a nice scoring touch.

Re: AHA

They have some good offensive players returning in Bianchi, CJ Smith, Meador and the younger Hurley. They have a solid offensive defenseman in Mork. That group of 5 will see alot of PP and PK time. Their weaknesses will be defensive depth and goaltending, but that may change. They will not be big, ...

I never understood the Daddy's Money chant, this would imply that these team's players paid for their camps, leagues, equipment, ? Funny stuff
A more appropriate chant might be Daddy's Credit!

It really surprised me to see how this year ended up for AHA. I've been following the school for 10 years with 2 kids going through. I've become a fan of Trebil's style. For the past 3 or 4 years it appeared to have a decline but have somehow been competitive in the Section. I thought they would be ...

They are fun games to see, SSM is a treat to watch. There are occasional wins but SSM always carries the play. I'd like to see SSM play one of top 5 teams in the state so BSM should be a good game with action both ways. Shattuck against the state champ would be awesome.

Mitch, Come on. Everyone knows Delbarton recruits, and in doing so they've drained all the talent from a 20,000 member public feeder system. They should be forced to opt to AAAAAAAA status. No, wait, they should be forced into a private-school-only league........better make that a AAAAAAA Private L...

Re: AHA vs. EP

I nice win for AHA. I had the right score 5-3 (including the empty net call), just the wrong order of the teams. OK Nice win for the STARS, they still did not play 100%, after all going short-handed 5 times before getting a power play. EP capitalized on 2 of them, so AHA needs to stay out of the bo...

Hurley's played Edina, CDH, Burnsville, Elk River, Roseau, Blake in just 8 games so far this year. I don't know where he ranks but the kid sure doesn't look like a freshman.

Little Frank and Craig, too bad, they would have made a big difference at the end there to prevent giving up the 2 quick goals.

I wish aha would have played as physical as they did against Cretin. I thought the young guys got intimidated and became impatient with the puck.

The AHA non conference schedule this year is as tough as it's ever been. This should give them the opportunity to earn the top seed, of course they do have to win.

Trebil needs to do something about the goal tender and shoddy defense. Tighten that up and they can compete with 3 decent lines. The Stars need to play a perfect game to keep it close but I haven't seen Edina play yet this year.

Burnsville should dominate at the silver level (they would be more challenged at the gold). They have strong goaltending and defense and have proven that they can put up some points on offense. Holy Angels is not the team that they have been in the past and will be beat by a score of 8-2. Burnsvill...

It's all about the sections. Remember when AHA were ranked in the top 5 all year then got beat in sections. After watching them against Edina and Mtka this looks like a team that can match up. The 3rd line is very young so maybe by March they will be more complete.

I was at the game last night. It was intense. Good crowd. The biggest difference I saw after the first was that Edina had legs to move and AHA did not. AHA couldn't move their feet, make a pass or #9 (Riley) get it out of the zone. #4 Riley looked scared most of the time in the AHA defensive zone a...
