Fargo at USHL Fall Classic

Looks like Lee is being challenged as he gets out of the blocks. Certain he will get better but it looks like in the first two games of the Classic he got pulled twice for allowing 8 goals in about 95 minutes of play.

Definitely a tough decision to make. Don't envy any young man in such a situation. But I am sure he feels that he has an opportunity to develop. Which leads me to my question. Who will be the goalie coach in Fargo? While coach Blais has a reputation for winning, I also heard that he has a reputation...

Given the dire situation in Brainerd are they at risk of losing coach Toby Kvalevog to his alma mater (Bemidji)? That would be a terrible loss!

Lets hope that his play wasn't affected by the check he took on Thursday. While that may have been dramatic at the high school level, that would fall into the expected category in the WCHA.

Good idea! But could it get any further north? Any idea on how many of the stars in this section are going to play in the USHL when their HS teams are done playing - and perhaps missing this game?

Interesting posts regarding Brainerd's lack of consistency from the Bantam program to the Varsity level. So why would it have been different? Would the Brainerd Varsity boys have been better prepared if the Bantam coach would have complied and prepared them for the Varsity concept? Who is in charge ...

Blame! Wow thats a word that is synonymous with success. Last I heard the Brainerd coach played d1 hockey - as a defenseman! The assistant coach also played d1 hockey as a goaltender. A lot of defensive minds on the coaching bench for the Warriors! In the past the finger was pointed at them for bein...

I think discussions like this have the opportunity to expose our sports deepest hypocacies. Coaches cry foul (some of them) when they lose a player to a developmental league - but when that kid is a D1 star, you can expect their resume to include "developed D1 level talent." Additionally, ...

In the somewhat educated category (from the section 7 website) it looks like the Warriors have 6 forwards and 4 defenseman returning from last years team. The returnees contributed 50 of 85 goals (58.8%), 80 of 135 assists (59.3%) which is 130 of 220 total team points (59.1%). Last year when the War...

I don't think that Jared is a good example to cite the capabilities of a particular school. Mr. Festler has always played with a passion and fire that if you watched him - you knew that he would figure a way to win. I would bet, that his coaches at LF would be the first to say that Jerad benefited f...

Took the above advice and checked out Point Streak! Some interesting numbers out there. To attempt to answer the goaltender question, at least in the NAHL, it appears that teams had a primary goalie who played in 58.1% of the games. The secondary goalie played in 31.5% of the games and for those tea...

It's to nice outside to be playing on the computer but...I came across this site that listed those that tried out for USHL teams this summer. Unfotunately, it does not have lists for Indiana, Ohio, Omaha or Waterloo. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ppaWcIjxwmE9uJd4aRm4rQQ I saw that the follo...

A question????

I came across this info on another board regarding the "affiliated" status of USHL players. Does anyone know if it is still accurate? "Last year, USHL teams could keep up to 12 players in addition to the 23 on the roster on their affiliated list during the regular season. 88's could b...
