Perhaps you meant delusion alert? (Sorry, couldn't resist.) SPOILER ALERT: HILL-MURRAY BEATS EDINA BY 3+ GOALS, GAME NOT AS CLOSE AS MANY ANTICIPATED... Not a fan of either team, but anyone who has been paying close attention to the teams and how they have been playing lately, this one isn't as clos...

Story of the season for Edina has been can they bury their scoring chances? if so, they should win.

Thanks for bringing up the memory.

directed = no goal deflected = goal Easiest way to determine. Ah but was the player directing the puck into the goal or attempting to direct it into his posession? I could make the argument that he was trying to control a pass with his skate and inadvertently directed it toward the net. Same answer...

Re: Dear Halla

I would gladly provide the top high schools hockey teams to Class A and AA State Tournament. Where do I sign up? Here's my idea. Play out the regular season each year. Then when the regular season is finished, we'll have Lakeviewing draw up the sections in a way that will guarantee the top 8 teams ...

Four X Stanley Cup winner and Hill-Murray grad, Dave Langevin, revamped the D which previously had been considered a Hornet weakness. ok - now I'm with ya (and of course, though an STA transfer, Lee was als...

The all tournament team is for players who stand out at the tournament. To me, Fasching definitely stood out. Sure you can maybe say some other people were also deserving. That doesn't mean it was a "joke" to pick Fasching. And if you don't like the selection of some Tonka players (though ...

Maybe, except Tonka has Kruger, who stole the game from HM. He was the difference and the Skippers won the game. They deserve #2.

Thanks a ton, Karl, for doing this all year long!

Congrats Edina! Number 10 (or I suppose number 7, depending how you count) was a long time coming. When you started getting hot at the right time, I kinda had a feeling, but I was afraid to say it out loud (or in type). I was definitely very impressed the way you played in-your-face hockey the entir...

Re: Give it up Lou

Sorry folks I get tired of hearing how good Edina and the other cities teams are. He does one of the most biased announcing jobs I've ever heard. I understand a lot of people like him and think the T.V. broadcast woudn't be the same without him. I could do without the Ole Fossil. Sorry folks. I get...

As good as the young guns are for AV the difference in depth at forward is huge...Edina just keeps rolling 3 and sometimes 4 lines that can all skate. Gretz will have to be stellar for AV to stick with them. I'd love to see AV win it, but still see this game as a far tougher test than Blaine. If Gi...

I thought that Lou Nanne loved Edina enough already... but now throw his grandson on the team! Hmmm, I wonder if this will interfere him from having a neutral point of view. I just watched the archived game on myfoxhockey. My take is that if Edina can figure out how to bring that effort consistently and stay out of the box, this is what they're capable of. What may be lacking is one guy who can take control of the game, but they have enough good players to stay with the...

Karl, I think you're not giving Tonka enough credit. Both the New Orleans Saints and the Indianopolis Colts this season had several close games and even some come from behind wins, but the fact is they are playing today in the SB. As someone that has watched them a dozen times this season, imho the...

no, both are too soft for their size. Exactly! Until these guys hit the weight room and put on some actual muscle, they will continue to get pushed around like they did all year. Don't bother to remind me they had 166pts between them, because the truth is they played a pretty soft schedule. I can't...

Not sure it's fair to say they didn't have depth. They just played the first line so much and many of the goals came on power plays, that the burden of winning always seemed to be their responsibility. They seemed to do the same thing last year and gassed their top line before the third periods or ...

Grand Rapids and Patrick White are up 3-0 in the last semifinal game of Fri night in 'o8, and as usual in Minnesota, 1/4 of the people leave early. Burnsville storms back and scores 3 goals in the last few minutes of the game to force OT. Then White leaves a sweet drop pass and Grand Rapids wins 4-...
