Wisconsin Fire

I will try to shed some light on this: 1) The reason that the Fire is having issues today is because 3 years ago the people running the 1993 Fire had some issues with following the rules and WAHA changed their rules because of it. 2) AAA hockey can cost anywhere from $5000.00 to $15,000.00 per famil...

Ness

Can someone give me some info: does Ness know how to play defense in his own end? He cannot clear in front and is terrible in the corners. :(

Who's not coming back

I am sorry you are incorrect about what the coaches make. A head coach for a public school makes roughly $5000.00 per season or more depending on how long they have been there. Add to that a summer program that has 50 to 70 kids in it at $400.00 to $500.00 each and that is a lot of MONEY in my book....

Who's not coming back

What is your choice when your high school coach has no idea how to develop hockey players and does not really care weather he does? I would venture to say when USA Hockey puts in place their development plan for elite hockey that there will be a lot more players from Minnesota getting drafted. USA H...

98 Fire

I would like to personally congratulate the 98 Fire for winning the 32 team Reebok Little Caesars tournament in Detroit this past weekend. I think this is a huge win for 17 squirts from Minnesota and Wisconsin. This is one of the top 5 AAA squirt tournaments in the United States. They won 6 games th...

Hello The Octopus, GOEP is right on the money and if you want to be real accurate the Fire were DISQULIFIED at the Wisconsin state tournament for not having coaches with their certification and were asked to leave the bench area. Their team manager ended up coacihing the team for all 3 games. If you...

Be Nice

Gentlemen,

You guys need to be a little nicer to each other. Truth be told there is only 1 player on Team Easton from the Fire. I have seen a lot of teams in my time and I think this team will compete with the Blades. You boys have a nice day! :D

Where have all the good coaches gone

I happen to agree with Fredrick. With that being said the word is out on Lakeville hockey not to apply to coach there because the board does not support their non parent coaches. Case in point in or around 1997 Lakeville had a coach with NHL experience and took the first Lakeville hockey team to the...

How did it get so bad?

I think we all need to go back to the original question, "How did it get so bad?" 1) How about we look at player development? Go to a practice and see what they do in practice. Ask yourself some questions: a) Do the drills have a lot of tempo? b) Are drills appropriate to the level you are...
