I believe Hill-Murray had a goalie, Brookshaw? that went on to Bemidji State.

It's so tough, because based on today, it's hard to understand how Forest Lake got to the tourney. I give EP's first line the edge, but H-M the slight edge on the next lines. The defense is close - slight (very slight) edge to EP, and the one area where i think there's a clear advantage in the net,...

Replacing Woody will be tough, but the coaching staff did alright after #16 moved on. Heavy on 9th and tenth graders with some top jr.'s returning, the future looks good.

How happy is HM, that WBL passed on the goalie as a freshman?

Go back and read page 1, the game in question was already brought up. Just saying what I saw.

I was at the game. I was sitting by two seperate couples. During the third period, I noticed both guys were checking the shot clock after every HM shot. Kind of like watching a spectator at a tennis match. Heads on a swivel, because Tartan was on the opposite side from the shot clock. So I st...

I would say HM's goalie should be in the mix. Plays one of the more difficult schedules in the state the last two years, plus no #16 this year. Still has decent numbers.

I did just see my favorite no-call the other night. Forward carries the puck into the offensive zone going backwards and somehow stays onsides.

From what I was told, she left the private school for two reasons, there were going to be 7 goalies trying out. I don't think she felt she would be in the top four. Also she found out Eastridge was short on goaltenders. I think she may have left sometime right before Cptn. practice began.

Minnesota Goalies

One thing I noticed recently, the finalist for Ms. Hockey, the skaters all had D-1 schools next to them, while the goalie finalists either had none or D-3 schools listed.(certainly nothing wrong w/ D-3) But being the state of hockey why isn't Minnesota producing more top level goalies. We don't seem...

Here is a question:

If Munson doesnt sign up for WBL bantams, is it safe to assume he was recruited and guaranteed a spot at Hill? Just curious.

If I were you I would lean toward OS hockey. The training is top notch and you get alot of exposure for select and summer teams. Winnie is very influential. A good supplement might be the Turcotte stickhandling school. Just my opinion. Also WHC is pretty much geared towards the Hill-Murray girls, th...

Technically putting the u after the age is not correct either. Since depending on the birthdate one can be 13 playing 12u or 15 playin 14 etc.

Re: JV

Was your daughter cut from the JV as well as the varsity? I got the feeling she and you didn't want to play JV? Is that accurate? It sounded like the coaches daughter played well (even with your comments about kids taking it easy on her and shooting right at her). Since she and you chose 14A I thin...

Well, we decided to split time at 14uA. Thanks for the input. We'll just have to see how things play out. I do agree w/ the rough around the edges statement, Melvin, that was probably my main concern.LOL As far as training, I think we do all right. Summer program, select tourneys (2 last summer) Sum...

Just thought I would post an update: HS tryouts went as expected, Coaches kid made the team. Yes they were 2 goalies fighting for one spot. this might make me sound a little crazy, but I'll mention it anyways because several people brought it to my attention during captains ice and tryouts. Kudos fo...
