You imply that these District programs are the "new Select 14 program" to replace the old Select 14 National Program. This is simply not the case. These programs were started by individual districts independantly, as they felt it was best for their district. I'm sure you don't intend to i...

Why no programs this year? No programs. No trophies. No medals. No t-shirts. No hats. No online scores/stats. No internet video coverage. No out-of-town teams. But the champions did get a bag of Dilly Bars (no I'm not making that up). Stick a fork in this tournament. I feel bad for the teams that s...

Thanks for the information on District Select 14 prgrams. While this information shows that some USA Hockey DISTRICTS have a "Select 14" program, that is run entirely inside of their DISTRICT it fails to provide any information on any National Select 14 program where each USA Hockey Distr...

Can you show any details on USA Hockey Select 14 program, that Minnesota Hockey does not participate in other than Girl's? A group of boys traveling to Ann Arbor on a sight seeing trip certainly is not part of the USA Hockey Select 14 program. http://usahockey.com/players/player_development_camps.a...

Does anyone know why Minnesota doesn't have a Select 14 program? No but it should change. This hand-picked bunch traveling to MI will probably force MN Hockey's hand to ask USA Hockey to participate next year. I believe you will see more and more Minnesota players at high levels now that there are ...

Need I say anymore when you look at who the "author" is of this post. Do you not have anything better to do with your time KJ? Maybe you should take a walk with your family and breath in some fresh air. It may do you some good. Anyone who wastes their time on trying to slander other peopl...

Don't ruffle too many feathers, you might mess up your kids with the politics. Your family is stuck playing where you live. Good luck with your issues.... I totally understand where you are coming from. Slowly there are becoming more and more options. The Fire is off life support for another year. ...

Just a couple of points. The first thing to remember is that everyone on the board is a volunteer. The majority of people don't volunteer to go to the dark side, they were just plain interested, upset or whatever and wanted to participate. The answer to some of the questions are as follows. The boa...

Almost every time someone comes on hear and has a question about an association, they are told to go to the meetings and run for the board. Get a clue guys, THAT'S NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. Does that mean they can't ask a question and expect an honest answer. Let me ask you, who are the board members ac...

Re: Lakeville Hockey Board Questions

Maybe he (or she) works 60 hours per week and can't run. Maybe he's just trying to inspire others to run. It sure seems like the questions he asked are fair points for discussion in this forum! I aggree. I think everyone can agree that most hockey associations are not "transparent". There...

How do you bench a kid for a year for seeking out something that is a better fit for their personal situation . I emphasize "better fit for their personal situation" because they are not trying to harm anyone or say "hey I am better than you", they are simply seeking out an opti...

Called on 3/20, got return kit on 4/2, 2 day return label to Indy. Received 3 x60 sticks on 4/8. They said non-grip only, requested stick-um and was pleasantly surprised they delivered! In the days of declining or no customer service, Bauer did it right.

Elliot, How do you tell the USHA issues from the MN hockey issues from the district issues and the association issues? There is no such thing as boys teams. There are youth and girls teams. AND THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG. Mind you I am a fan of girls hockey as well as boys and I have been an administr...

With logic like that and your ability to draw conclusions that are not statistically significant, I've come to the conclusion that you are High Off The Grass How ironic is it when someone posts a topic about MM and Bernie's Machine teams and a small but very passionate group of individuals run to hi...

I answered the ones i care to answer. :D SECoach, Allow me to recap. SECoach doesn't imply that there is a MH rule preventing teams from playing the Fire. (That's OK because the District 6 Director did a great job in doing that.) The District or Association that SECoach is with chooses not to play ...

Because of the reasons I stated previously, our district does not approve games played against the Fire. Ho...
