USHL/NAHL vs. Major Midget AAA

As USHL try outs are long over and NAHL try outs are coming down to the last two weekends, I noticed that almost all Midget AAA teams have already held their try outs and have their 09-10 rosters set. Does anyone know why they hold their camps before some USHL camps and definately before NAHL camps?...

The kid's an absolute stud. He's only going to keep getting stronger and he'll be fun to watch next year. Unfortunately I think that will be his last year at Blaine. He will be one of the top forwards in the state next year, if not the best. Sorry, one goal against EP, but went into a shell for the...

Why do people feel the need to say anything negative about this article? It was great, even though we all love to hate Edina. What a perfect depiction of MN hockey at it's finest. Bet those boys who left EP for the Juniors are kicking themselves in the ass now. Great way to show how there's nothing...

Looks like East is going down... It's been looking that way for awhile. Goalie pulled for East, CDH scores an empty netter. Props to the Raiders. Lee Everyone needs to read this post and recognize how to take a loss with some class. You're a stand-up dude, Lee. Many, many teams would like to be whe...

As cool as that would be, its very unlikely for Garen to get it cause Sager will pull the OT 1st Line, 2nd Line, 1st Line, 2nd Line, 1st Line, 2nd Line, 3rd Line rotation. If it comes to OT, a 1st line senior gets the goal. The way things used to be done the whole game in the Grun era; not sure why...

Re: 1parent

Being the best player on the ice doesnt make you a leader. SAger and FSN both agreed Swanson was the best player on the ice for WB during the Woodbury game. Also, Lowell played with Birki and Wallin for a little while when Ryan Walter was urt, which gave Lowell many, many assists. And for Slator, h...

Re: 1parent

Yes the people of W.B. are trying to oust the coach. He has no respect from his players, past and present. As for Senior leadership, Sam Swanson is it -but when Sam asks the coach for harder practices and gets totally shot down by the coach it's hard to have team continuity. If the Bears win it wil...

I agree, it was a very well played and well coached game between 2 very good teams. The refs kept their whistles in their pockets and overlooked an obvious checking-from-behind penalty and a few hooks and trips. To call a holding penalty with 2 minutes left in OT, after letting everything else go, ...

Re: Stud

Ben Clark is gonna score in overtime to win the game for the Bears. Hes a scoring machine. With zero goals (he has one JV goal) and four assists Clarky isn't exactly a scoring machine. But he plays solid D and has a respectable +12 +/- ranking. But, who knows, maybe you are able to foretell t...

It's getting ridiculous. When you're down in the third by two or more with only 8 min to go, you gotta start double shifting the lines that are going to get it done for you. White Bear got outcoached in this game clearly, as Cretins first line with Bangs and Zimmerman matched up against White Bear's...

As a White Bear grad and fan, watching this year's team has been tough. At times, they've shown toughness an ability to compete with anybody (the AHA game, for example), and at other times they have looked absolutely brutal (against Hill). Some observations/questions: -Putney is bar far their best ...

Has anyone else noticed that the upperclassmen on this team never step up in big games? It seems like when they play a good team, Birkinbine and Wolter step up and play big, while the upperclassmen are invisible out there. They seem to just love padding their stats against poor teams like Park. As ...

Quite the character test for White Bear Lake, hopefully this can get some momentum going for them to carry them through seasons end. Collette made some phenomenal saves, by far his best game of the year. Good hard fought win for the Bears, killing off two 5 on 3's and battling a period and a half wi...

The first period was very suprising as it was played fairly evenly, maybe because white bear came out with so much emotion. second and third periods white bear lost their legs and were absolutely dominated in all phases of the game. I am more of a white bear fan than a hill fan, and I it was pretty...
